Bugaboo - Sassy Xmas Girl

First of all a little reminder that my DT SHOUT OUT is still running over at my new challenge blog - ECLECTIC ELLAPU.  It closes on the 31st August.  Why not have a look see!!!

Its challenge time over at Creative Card Crew and the theme is Christmas and we are being sponsored by Bugaboo.  The winners prize is 7 digis - fab prize so you need to get on over there and enter you Christmas cards.  You know you have to be init to winit!

Anyway for my DT inspiration I have coloured up Sassy Xmas Girl.    I decided to go with a red/white theme just to get into the festive spirit.  I coloured her up using my promarkers and smothered the entire image (apart from her flesh that is) with glamour dusts.  The ribbon came from my stash as did the sentiment stamp.    This is a really simple card and really enjoyed making it.

Anyway here are the pics and don't forget to get on over to CCC and join in the fun.

Xmas Pressie completed

Good evening all my crafty friends

First of all a little reminder that my DT SHOUT OUT is still running over at my new challenge blog - ECLECTIC ELLAPU.  It closes on the 31st August.  Why not have a look see!!!

Hope you have all had a wonderful Sunday. I have had a relaxing crafting day.... perfick!!!!!!  I have had in my mind to start making my Christmas prezzies and I actually made a start.  In fact I completed one lol.All is good!

I made a mini album fopr one of my daughters in laws.  I just hope she will like it.  Here are the pics.  I did try to keep them to the bare minimum however did not succeed lol.  Here goes image saturation!

All used in this album were scraps from my ever growing scrap box lol.  I used chipboard as the base of it all.  Pleantly of ribbons and lace.  Tags and die cuts are Spellbinders, Memory Box and Tim Holtz. Rock candy was used along with the odd journal stamps.  The one worded sentiments are from some stamps I have had for ages.  They have finally had a use! The flowers were either hand made by me or have been altered using those from my stash.

Well I hope I didn't bore you too much with this.....Please forgive me and call back soon. Pretty please LOL

Flying Tricycle

Hi all

It is that time again for a new challenge over at Outlawz, Paper ala Mode.  The theme this week is Spread your wings.  Can be interpreted as new beginnings but project must have wings on.

I quite liked this one as I have plenty of stamps for wings.  I decided the project was to be a tag.  I used a steampunk bike with wings stamp and a tree stamp and then embossed them.  The background sky I used milled lavender, stormy sky and broken china.  The moon I roughly used white picket fence crackle paint but I chipped away at it to give it texture for the moons craters. I stamps seperate wings, cut them out and embossed using crackle embossing powder and then used gold over the top to give the effect of rusty metal.  These I placed either side of the moon.  I hope you like this.

Please hop on over to the Outlawz and join in on the fun.

Mothers Love - Delicious Doodles

First of all a little reminder that my DT SHOUT OUT is still running over at my new challenge blog - ECLECTIC ELLAPU.  It closes on the 31st August.  Why not have a look see!!!

Today I have coloured up this gorgeous image, found over at Delicious Doodles. I started putting this one together just after applying to be on their design team but alas it was not meant to be. SOB SOB SOB!!!. Thats it I now got it out my system.  The girls who have been picked are extremely talented and wish them all the best.  Anyway ONWARDS and UPWARDS.

I went for the monochrome look with this one and as you can see extremely simple.  I embossed the background matted all the white card onto black. I used my prisma pencils to colour her up.  I used ribbon and gems from my stash.  Well thats it really LOL.

I hope you all like it and will be back real soon.

Angel Christmas - Graphics fairy

Good sunny afternoon.......

Just a quick reminder that I am looking for DT's for my new challenge blog over @ Eclectic Ellapu.
This is a new venture and I hope you will support me on the journey.  If you are interested in joining just pop over and have a look around.

I am posting another quickie. I felt in the mood for making another tag as I just love this image.  The tag has been stamped and embossed, distressed with mainly scattered straw and mahogany, very lighly and spritzed with gold.  I typed up the wording using word.  The lace, trim, feathers and flowers from my stash have had the same treatment (as ya do!)  I just get a little carried away sometimes... okay okay all the time - I stand corrected LOL.  I turned the pic into mono, cut round her and brushed a thin layer of accents over her.  I used to hat pins from my stash, added a button and altered a quarter of a doily which has lost the effect as i ended up covering it up - yet another oversight on my part.  I really must think about what I am doing lol. The back has been embossed and distressed.

Thats it for today from me.... I need to be doing other stuff... as always lol!

Have a good day

Good early Sunday morning and way past my bedtime lol.... This will be a short posting

I had the urge to make a tag and found this adorable piggy image over at Graphics Fairy.  I used script stamp, embossed and distress inks over the front of tag.  the ribbons and lace were distressed.  I typed the words on laptop and cut out, distressed and glossed over (hence rubbish pics LOL) And in case it is not obvious to you the word 'often' relates to 'relax' which the piggy is doing.  I knew what it meant but upon reflection not obvious and did not make sense LOL.  I must try harder next time!!!The red flower I altered and the brown one I made out of an old satin shirt - didn't fit anyway LOL.  The tags need was greater than mine! The butterflies are from memory box.  I also used gold over the top at random.  The back of the tag has been embossed with bird cage and birds and also distressed.

Well thats it for tonight - morning!

Dark Valentine - Delicious Doodles

Happy Saturday morning

Just a quick reminder that I am looking for DT's for my new challenge blog over @ Eclectic Ellapu.
This is a new venture and I hope you will support me on the journey.  If you are interested in joining just pop over and have a look around.

Now onto the reason for me posting here LOL.  It has been a while, a long, long while since making a goth card and I have to say it made a change and thoroughly enjoyed it.  The image i used is called Dark Valentine by Teri Sherman of Delicious Doodles.

I coloured her using promarkers and prisma pencils.  I used glossy accents on her lips and nails.  I did use them on her rose too but later on in the project I placed a wee rose on top LOL.  So indecisive....The backing, although it hardly visible is spider web lace against red card however I used it also for the bow.  I attached a heart and cross charm to the bow.  The flowers at the base of the card are from my stash. I altered them and added glossy accents as I did on the spellbinder leaves.  However before hand I sprayed them with red mist.  I just love accents bet you can't tell LOL.  I added a couple of marabou feathers for a little softness.  Well thats about it from me right now.

In the full pics it looks like her fang is her entire mouth and I suppose that is due to my beloved accents grrrr so I took a couple of close ups to show the defined fang LOL.

I have to add that this card may be entered into the OUTLAWZ magazine called Through the Craftroom Door.  If you subscribe you may just see it there in the next issue or another project by me if this one cannot be used due to me posting it on here too early LOL.  Hop on over here to take a peek at the magazine and you may just like it enough to subscribe for small fee ... I did!!!

Wedding Cupcakes - Delicious Doodles

I have made this card specifically for Delicious Doodles DT call.  I have been waiting for this opportunity to arise and now it has I am so excited.  I would dearly love to be on Teri's design team as I am so in love with her art.

This cupcake image is the freebie Teri has provided to complete a project so I merged six of them in graduating sizes to make a wedding cake.  I know tiered cupcakes have been the rage so I thought why not!

I used promarkers and prismas to colour up the images. I sprinkled glamour dust on the cakes and attached bow trim around the edges of the cake wrappers.  I then cut around them and placed them on top of a pleated table cloth which I made out of muslin.  I stamped the sentiment and placed that too on pleated muslin (well almost pleated LOL)  I tried, really I did! I altered a rose and edged it with vintage photo ink and covered in glossy accents.  This too was placed on muslin.  I wiped vintage photo round the edges of the card and placed three ivory heart gems in the corner.

Now for the pics - Hope you like them......

Lets hope my entry makes it - if not I have a wedding card in my collection anyway so a bonus either way.

Free Vintage Digital Stamps - Cupid Symphony

Just a quick reminder that I am looking for DT's for my new challenge blog over @ Eclectic Ellapu.
This is a new venture and I hope you will support me on the journey.  If you are interested in joining just pop over and have a look around.

Now onto business....

Its challenge time over @ Creative Card Crew this week and the theme is Newsprint, Map or Sheet Music background so I chose Music.  We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp with a $20 gift voucher so best you head on over and join in the fun.

I used a really cute vintage digi image from Free Vintage Digital Stamps - Cupid Symphony.

I just love that site so full of gorgeous vintage images.  Did I tell you I like vintage or have you guessed already LOL.  Anyway there wasn't too much colouring needed as there alot of shading on this so it wasn't that hard to do.  I did however use my crackle stamp over the top with clear embossing powder. I used a metal corner which I embossed using Tim Holtz crackle powder and then rubbed over with gold leaf.  The ribbon I used for the bow I cut down the sides and frayed it up to make it look old.  I had used all my vintage ribbon stash up so had to improvise LOL.  I used a leaf vine trim in brown and light pink to drape round the image from my hand made flower.  The flower and the pink vine trim along with the muslin (just showing) beneath the image and flower had the mahogany distress ink treatment. That is why you cannot see pink vine as it is now mahogany LOL. The backing paper and the image had a smidging of it also.  Did I mention I love distress ink LOL!!!

Anyway that is enough of my babbling and without further adieu here are the pics you may have been waiting for..............

Anyway why don't you all head over to Creative Card Crew for our current challenge and have fun creating to be in with a chance of winning the wonderful prize from Simon Says Stamp

Thats it from me right now.

Sweet Little Donkey - Meljens Designs

Good evening everyone

This is a really quick posting and it is a commission card for a colleague at work.  I used Meljens Sweet Little Donkey and I love him to bits.  So gorgeous.  I coloured him using my prisma pencils.  I used a memory box die for the mini banners and Tim Holtz alphabet die for the letters.

That is it really as the card is so simple and I quite effective which is unusual for me LOL

Anyway here are the pics

Thanks for peeking and also thanks to anyone who pops over to my new blog for support.  The DT shout out is on so if you are interested there is no harm in just trying... you just never know.Just keep on coming and showing us some love!  LOL.

Tags in Bags - A Day for Daisies

Hey its challenge time again over @ Outlawz - Paper Ala Mode and the theme this week is Circus, Vintage ot Modern.  The theme this week has been chosen by moi!

I used two vintage clown digis from A Day for Daisies and coloured them up using prisma pencils.  I then cut them out.  I am not a lover of cutting for fear of ruining the images so it was hold breathe grit teeth and plunge in.  I didn't shut my eyes though lol.  I am the type of person when driving and coming to a tight spot will breathe in to squeeze through... it works! LOL.

I cut out two labels and covered them in distress inks and stamped and embossed all over them using Big Top Circus stamps.  You know its funny modern clowns with white faces and huge red smiley mouth painted on freaks me out but love these guys....well I wouldn't have touched them otherwise.  Anyway enough rambling on and on and on.....

I used muslin for the bows again distressed along with the wooden buttons and raffia for the tag ties.  I made two bags for the ties to slip into but before making them up they got the ol stamp and embossed treatment.  I attached distressed cord for handles and mini tags on the bags as you would on a gift bag. I thoroughly enjoyed this project and guess what you are now about to be saturated with pics and even more pics.. front and bag views of all items and at every angle LOL... SORRY!

Why don't you all pop over and join in with our challenge this week.  Would be good to see your creations.....Thats it for me right now but I will be back!
