Just a couple of birthday cards......F

for my Twin gran-kids who are 2 tomorrow.  I don't know where the time has gone to.  They were quite simple - stamped imaes and words and coloured using Poly's.  That's it all done.

Thank you for popping in and hope to see you again real soon.

Hugz to all

Tis the season.... blah blah blah! F

Another quickie post - infact there will be two quickie posts today.  Just Christmas cards ....

I used a snowman stamp, metallic inks, clear embossing powder with a lil glitter mixed in, glitter for the snowflakes and flower soft for the snow.

That's it right now until I get some more done - they are needed lol.

New challenge at Anything but a Card - F

Yes a new challenge and time is flying by so quickly.  The theme this month is CELESTIAL.  I have to say I did struggle with this one.  I kept thinking I knew what I was going to make and then was unable to put it together - mojo went awol!

I finally decided to make a box frame from a photo mount and foam board.  I used mountboard as the backing.  I used black, blue, grey and purple paints for one side and orange, red, yellow for the other.  I stamped onto acetate using Indigoblu stamps Juliet and Snow Queen and wiped white pan pastel over the stamped image.

That's it job done!

Now for the pics and apologies for them not being all that good.. quite hard to get good images with reflection and do not own a light tent - on my wanted list lol.  I am also sorry for the number of them - was just trying to give an overall view.

Thanks for dropping by and please pop in again.  Why not head on over to Anything but a Card and join in with the fun.

Another card - f

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you (other in following post) They are quite basic simple cards but I think they are effective.  The only description I can offer is that I stamped the image using different metallic ink pads and used clear embossing powder to enhance the images.  I used a decoroller pen to fill in some of the gears and wings randomly to give it a little depth.

Now for the pics and for a change there are only two lol!

Hope you enjoyed your visit and please feel free to follow me and pop back anytime

My altered canvas Finnabair inspired steampunky style - f

Hi all

I have been watching a few tutorials on You Tube at Finnabair inspired projects.  The lovely people I watched creating their Finnabair projects were Angela Holt, Jennings644 and CreaBoetiek and many more.  I then typed in Finnabair into Google and found her blog - wow so inspiring and I hope I have done them all justice with my attempt.

First of all I prepared a canvas using modelling paste and stencils then various paints and sprays.

I then printed an image from the net and placed it onto the canvas.  It sat there for many days before going onto the next step

I dived into my treasure box for various pieces of jewelry, metal flowers, butterflies, leaves  I purchased from Butterbee Scraps and the odd wooden pieces from my stash and stuck them around the image.  Lots of odd chain, earrings, pen nibs, rings were used and even a watch I had laying about

I then gesso'd the embellishments

I then sprayed them using the same coloring's as the canvas.  I used black around the image and edges of canvas.  Finally I added inka gold

Well thats it really and I apologize for image overload.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you will come back again.

Hugz always
