October already and time for a new challenge over at the Mirror Crack'd and this months hostess is Lula with the theme of Wall Hanging.
If you don't fancy a wall hanging we have a Tic, Tac, Toe board for you to choose from. If you want to do the wall hanging, it's the centre square, then you do NOT need to do the squares either side of it, unless you fancy challenging yourself even further. Or you could pick any of the lines around the outside and miss out the wall hanging altogether. If you use the Tic, Tac, Toe, please tell us in your post which line you have used.
My next door neighbor has just recently erected a huge cabin at the end of his garden and I blagged his leftover pieces of tongue and groove - lots of them I have to say.
The wood is pine which needed to be gessoed before starting. I used 3 stencils and my own handmade modelling paste (loads of tutorials on You Tube). I then painted it neutral and sprayed expresso adirondack colorwash over it. I then highlighted the raised areas using inka gold. The lettering/numbers were cut using my alphabet die - also inka'd up lol. I made 2 holes and threaded parcel string for the hangy thingy. Now for the piccies
Thats it for now and I really hope you enjoyed your visit. Why not head on over to The Mirror Crack'd and join in with the fun challenge
Hugz and love always
