Mannequin tree

Hi all,

It is Christmas Eve and I am taking time out to post this project.  This was an old jewelry stand.  I covered the body with a napkin which spells out NOEL.  I took a before pic just to show this.

I painted the stand with white chalk paint - not that you can see much.  For the skirt I used Christmas tree branches (I cut a few from the middle of my tree lol) which I layered.  I often buy tacky decorations from the pound shop like mini fir cone balls, robins, bells, berries,  glittered leaves etc and I have used some on the skirt and bodice.  I tied ribbon and bow round the waist and then added an old necklace over top.  I used glitter wire coiled round the neck and place a bell on the top.  Now for the pics and sorry for overload

I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and please call again real soon.

Love always and Happy Christmas to you all.

Shabby Chic Tree

Well what a pain this was lol.  I decided to use up some of my scraps of lace and this is what I came up with.  I made a cone out of card and secured it.  I used crochet cotton lace tocover the entire cone as a strengthener.  I then used all scraps of lace and ribbon and a few feathers randomly placed.

I didn't have doweling to secure the tree to the base so I used a pair of chopsticks bound together (as they were not long enough lol) .  At the top I glued them into a small plastic egg to stop it showing through the top.  I glued pearl string round the top to secure the large crystal bead.

For the base I used a tuna can (which was fabulous on my baked potato lol) with a small cotton reel on top and covered with lace, ribbon and doilies.

This really felt  like ''Blue Peter'' moment lol

Now for the pics ... I tried lights on it But preferred without

Time of year creations

Time to blog a few Xmas projects First up are some more Christmas tree decorations.  I just love making these - trouble is everyone else at work wants them and have lost quite a few in the past weeks lol.  Maybe next year I will be able to dec out my tree as was planned this year lol.  The basis of the ornament is glitter card cut using scallop die.  Lots of sparkly diamante and pearls. I use  either broken jewellery or what I buy for flower centres for the middle.

Now for the pics

Thanks for dropping by and please call again

More Xmas Tree Deco's for Rhedd's Creative Spirit 5

Yes I am here again with more glitterey sparkly tree decorations.  Once again I used glitter card, diamante chain, pearl string and centre pieces.  Couple of them are beads from broken jewelley so was worth while keeping them lol.  Now for the pics and hope you like them as much as I did putting them together.

Please head on over to Rhedd's Creative Spirit and join in with our challenge

December challenge over at Altered Eclectics 1

For this months challenge over at Altered Eclectics I have put together my version of a fairy in a jar, using a coffee jar. I put this together for a colleague as a Christmas gift.   Double whammy as got to enjoy the coffee first lol. For this project I used dried moss, sprayed green, a photo of a fairy and glittered up, twigs for the tree, paper napkin for the background, butterflies cut from the napkin and a handmade flower for the top.

Thanks for dropping by and please why not head on over to Altered Eclectics for this final challenge of 2017.  New challenges will begin in February to give us all a well deserved break.

C.R.A.F.T - Christmas present 5d

December challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu

This month the challenge theme is of course Anything Christmas and this opens the floodgates from anything from gifts, cards, gift boxes etc.  Such a lot of choice.

I decided to make some Christmas tree decorations. I saw a You Tube video which gave me the inspiration but cannot for the hell of me remember who it was.  If i find it again I will post it here later

I used glitter card shaped using a scalloped die. I used 2 bails top and bottom for the dangley beads and ribbon through the top. I used various bead trims, glitter and center pieces.  Something easy but time consuming to get it just right but I think the end result justifies my time and effort.  I will  definitely be making  a lot more for pressies for my work colleagues.

Now for the pics

Please head on over to our challenge - remember this is the last challenge until February as the DT need a break.

Hugs always xx
