Cold winters day

I have decided to share one of my practise runs on this style of card after watching a tutorial on you tube. Very rarely go on there as go my own way as you know.

I have a collection, not that big of cardio stamps and thought I better make use of them

This one I feel probably does not fit my usual style of CAS. The rectangle is too big - lesson learnt - smaller rectangle in the future lol

I used a rectangle, moon and hill stencil from Inkylicious. I used Adirondack ink pads to blend

This one I feel probably does not fit my usual style of CAS. The rectangle is too big - lesson learnt - smaller rectangle in the future lol - not that I will be doing another so soon

So here it is

Thank you for dropping in pleased to see you

Oh Christmas tree....

This morning I decided to make another non sentiment card and to use my old die in a different way to resemble a tree like I have been doing quite a lot lately. In a way we need to utilise what we already have in our stash

I used linen card for this project

This die has become very popular and the last time I used it at it's fullest was with butterflies.  That was ages ago. This time I partially cut the die.

I used scrapes of my shaving foam technique for the background and used an embossing tool to shape it to look rounded.  I then used another piece of the background to stabilise the tree flat against the card

Beauty is here to stay

Yes another stencil production.  This time I used a random stencil I had bought in a pack of 20 from Amazon.  Alot of them are too big but felt this one was just right for what I wanted.

I used black distress inkpad and a grey distress oxide to blend together for a monochrome effect.  The little bee came from Gummiapan, stamp three times and coloured using yellow /orange polychromo pencil.

Sentiment stamp unknown origin

Scenic bauble

Today I put this one together using a Sweet poppy stencil. Inkylicious cabin stamp, Dark and light blue Adirondack inkpads blended and a white posca pen for highlights  and snow along with highlighting the roof trees and fencing using little glamour dust glitter.

That's it really such a short description that says it all. lol

Under pressure

Well today I came up with another 'no sentiment' card and also another take on a Christmas tree

I used a wonky fern die for the tree, used distress oxide ink roughly on leaves (was going to leave it white, in fact might do one in white as well) The leaves I gently used and ordinary embossing tool to live it some dimension behind the aperture
The hat stamp is a Tim Holtz from Bird Crazy and things set. Stamped coloured using copics and cut round it, popped it on using double sided foam tape. The hat gives the effect of it weighing down the tree top

Little mojo

Today's posting is about all I can muster.  For the last few days I had nothing to give and                                        today I pushed myself into making this one

I used star dies in 3 different sizes and sliced and diced the points from them. One cut from linen card and the other 2 in plain smooth card, embossed the tiny one and used pale pink Inka gold over the raised areas. Just to give them different textures

Graduated them to look like one tree or three different trees dependant on the onlooker and their perception. I stuck tiny diamante on the tree tops.

Mounted onto white.

No sentiment needed

Thank you for dropping bye

Stars are us

I put this card together yesterday but did not post until today as I felt I had been posting too many at one time.

For this one I used a normal star die and cut it out on the front panel. Behind the panel I used a left over piece of snow embossing. I have this tiny little star tag -I have no idea as to when I got it from, and decided to place it in the middle by attaching it to the larger one using this ridiculously fine silver thread.  Oh my that was a pain in the butt.  Many many times later I manged to make a teeny weeny bow from the same thread and placed it at the top of the star.  As you can see the thread separated all by itself which I think looked good -well thought so anyhow

I attached a small piece of foam tape behind the little one to stop it moving it about and placed a teeny weeny diamante in the middle of the smaller one.

I did not feel it necessary to have a sentiment as it says it all.

Hugz always

Many Thanks 1

I had some background left from when I was playing around 'smooshing'. There are plenty of tutorials out there on you tube but basically it is placing distress ink or oxide ink  or any water reactive inks onto your mat, spritz with water and then gently placed card over top and taking it away quickly until you have the desired effect.    I used pink and grey for this one.

I die cut a flower and leaves which I think are Altenew,  three times and layered them. I then die cut the front panel for the negative space, placed the background on the card base, attached the card front using double sided foam tape, placed the stacked die cuts back into the negative spaces.

I stamped the sentiment by Creative Expressions and backed it with the same background.

Going round in circles 1

Last night my Big Shot express started making funny noises and would not pass the die through.  I think the roller had dropped but seeing as I had bought in January I was not impressed.  Phoned Amazon this morning they are picking it up tomorrow for a complete refund.  I have now ordered a Big Shot Switch plus and will be arriving this evening.  I was distraught. It was time to go through all my die cuts I have thrown into a box'.

I had a card front with circles cut out.  I found a butterfly and some backgrounds by Charlie and Pauchen that a crafting buddy I met on CAS  Facebook sent me - Leta Roberts.  So I set to creating.

I used oxide inks to blend the butterfly and gently touched the edges with gilding wax by Pebeo. I used and cut out a little the embossing Leta Roberts had sent to me.  One I blended oxide ink and wiped over with gilding wax and the other kept white and gently used the ink again over the raised areas.

Placed the embossing on card base and used double sided foam tape for the card front panel.

The stamp is by Creative Expressions and stamped in blue Adirondack.

So here it is

Gilded deer

 Good morning all

I decided to use gilding flakes not as a background but for the main feature against white. Achieved this once again using double sided tape as do nit have any double sided adhesive sheets at the moment.  I have three different colour gilding flakes and when using in the past I used to put the excess in another tub so i would have a tub of mixed colours - waste not want not!

For the background I used a snow embossing folder and the aperture a normal circle die

I die cut Tim Hotz dies and another on the left which I have no idea of the origin

Thank you

I made this card for AAA Cards Sketch+Thankful.

I used navy card, covered on one side using double sided tape and covered with gilding flakes - well I had sheets of gilding so scrunched some up for this project. Placed three different colours over it, rose gold, silver and gold.

Rubbed over it with an old stamp scrubber  never used it so cut it up, to get the excess off.

I then cut it up into 3 graduating widths, placed onto card as to where I wanted them and then stamped Thankyou - stamp is Stampin'up - Sassy Salutations.  I do love that set.

I backed the panel with rose gold mirror card

The stripes when seen from the side look wonky but as you can in the first pic they are straight

Thank you for coming on over

Gnome for Christmas

Today I felt like assembling a gnome die for one of my friends little one.  This ws a practice run to see if I could make similar ones for my 8 grandchildren, obviously not for my 17 yr old granddaughter.

The die is by Marianne Designs and I used tartan paper for his jacket and haat, black for gloves and boots and white obviously for his beard.  I used Anita's 3d gloss for his nose, gloves and boots. I used an embossing tool behind his body to round him off a little and used double sided foam tape for the hat and body,

The house stamp I believe to be by Apple Blossom . I lightly coloured it using my polychromos and prisma pencils and blended.  I did not want it to be a solid colour as I wanted my little mate to be the prominent feature.

The words of the sentiment was in the stamp set but wanted to print it out

 Hi all

I made this card is for Team Diane over at Peace on Earth Christmas challenge following this moodboard

I chose the option of reindeer from the bottom left

I used an aperture die, unknown origin with a snowfall effect behind and an unbranded reindeer.  The background is a snow embossing folder

The sentiment was composed in word and printed to the base card

Black Ice Dragonfly

Well I thought I would dip my toes back into the water and create the black ice effect.  It has been a very long time since doing this and I have to say I enjoyed making this one.

The background is a rose gold mirror card, used stazon to wipe and stamp then came the versamark and my triple embossing powder I used to use for my mixed media.

Stamps I have no idea of origin

I used the scrap of background and black to die cut the dragon fly. The black dragonfly is offside to the top to give it a shadow effect.  All was mounted onto black card. Sentiment composed in word.

There are loads of youtube videos out there for this technique
