Ascension

Hi everyone

It is challenge time over at Paper Ala Mode. The time just flies by, it only seems a week since the last challenge... oh it is! LOL.  I know that was rather poor..... ;-)

The challenge this week is embossed background and for those that know me I just love this embossing folder using my duct tape metal effect.  Boring they say but hey the projects do vary a little! LOL.  This time the entire background is embossed in *metal* and then gold rubbed over it.  I then cut out another air balloon and used 3 dimensional paint, in different colours to make it pop. To give that effect I laid paper on top of paint and pulled it away.  I had a little rubber stamp of an air balloon which had a key hanging from it.  I cut the key off and added charms in its place. The sentiment is computer generated.

Anyway thats it for this post as simple does it ;-) Why not pop over to the Outlawz and join in the challenge.  There are loads of other challenges to participate in.  Go on you know you want to!!!!!!

Hope all are okay and well

Hugz to all

Lily - Robyns Fetish

Yes it is time again for the new challenge to begin over at Creative Card Crew.  The theme is purple and we are sponsored by Robyns Fetish who are kindly donating 4 digi images to the winner of this challenge.

I used Lily from their collection and coloured it up using copics.  Purple being the main colour. Well you can see that LOL!  I cut the image out and placed it against a background consisting of stamps I had bought from Indigoblu. I then punched out a few teeny butterflies to finish off the scene.

Steampunky Album

I have been working on this book for a while now and finally finished the final page today.  I have used several techniques for the embellishments.  So here goes....

The outside of the album I covered in two different coloured ribbon.. as you can see lol.  I then strengthen between the pages with the beige ribbon and tied at the spine.

This page I used my duct tape technique, embossing folders, black acyrlic paint and rub n buff to finish off.  I used chain links for the centre of the flower.

This one i used TH crackle embossing powder for the envelope and flower and used spray mist to brighten it up.  Tags were run through embossing folders.

I used duct tape again for the backing and the trifold wallet for photos and used mod podge with coloured tissue paper for the dress form. The flower and cotton reel I made myself and wrapped raffia round it

Yayy duct tape agin lol. with rub n buff.  A bottle cap with glossy accents on top to hold it together.  The tags have been heat embossed and TH inks over the top

I used foil for the pocket and used pen for faux rivets nd used black acrylic paint after using wire wool over the top to scratch it.  May not see it all that well in the pic though.  I then sprayed with copper.  The tags have been run through embossing folders and rub n buff again.  Just love that stuff lol.  I used an eyelet with travel written on it and they turn to use all the tags.

I used a Kanban stamp for the dress form and cut it out and layered it up.The pocket and dress form had the crackle embossed effect again. I used rub n buff over them as well as the flower.

I embossed and rubbed over with distress inks on this page.  The flower I made myself using cordinations.

I used postcards for this page with embossing, TH inks, and mist.  The flower was made out of parcel paper.

I used TH clock face die.  I stamped and embossed clock faces and used crackle accents over them.  I used some packing from a TH product and placed the faces inside.  I was chuffed with that bit of recycling lol.

This envelope was made using glue and burning it, moulding it with my fingers and then rubbed and buffed.  The flower, key and lock were made the same way.  The corner die is memory box.

Everything was wither put together by me or altered using different techniques.  The book plates were either coloured by inks or paint and then crackled.  Every page has an internal large photo mat decorated with the same papers used for the pages.

I know this is a pretty brief description and think I have covered it all.  I may add to it during the week if not too tired lol.....

Hope you enjoyed your visit and would like you to call again sometime soon

Baby Scan Photo Mats

Tonight I put together a couple of photo mats for my daughter's twins due in Jan but more likely be here in December. As you can see there are 4 mats held together with baby brads enabling them to be moveable.  I used Meljin cute donkey on both and coloured them using promarkers and prisma pencils.  The papers are from my stash. I print out far too many and can never remeber where they came from lol.  The ribbon is also from my stash.  I used Tim Holtz Alphabet die for the wording.  Was quite simple and would like to say quick but I wasn't lol.

Here are the pics.. hope you like them.. more important I hope my daughter does!

Thats it from me for now

New Baby - Stitchy Bear

This week over at Paper ala Mode, The Outlawz is to celebrate the beginning of Autumn and making a project along the theme of welcoming a new beginning ie New baby, new home etc.

I chose this beautiful image from Stitchy Bear called New Baby.  I kept this one really simple as I seem to be getting better at it lol. I coloured the image using my prismas and am hoping I got the shading okay.  I am a little unsure lol. The backing card has been embossed using my dot folder.

The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.  Thats about it really.

Why not head on over to The Outlawz and join in with one of their many challenges.  You may even like it there and decide to stay... like I did!

Anyway thats it from me for now

Captain Locke - Kenny K

Good afternoon all

I do hope you have enjoyed your weeken.. I know I have. I have had my partner and my preggie daughter here for the weekend.  Took her out and spent loads on the twins she is expecting.  I now cannot afford to go out so looks like I will have to stay in the remainder of the month to craft.... bummer huh!

Today I felt a Kenny K moment coming on along with steampunk so that is just what I did.

The image I used is Captain Locke.  I used prismas on her with glossy accents on her eyes, lips, goggles and her keys. I cannot remeber where the paper came from however it was a digital frame. I have stamped and embossed in the middle part behind Miss Locke however cannot really see it lol.  My mate Paula cut out the key and cogs in the background for me. I used crackle distress powder on them and rubbed gold over the top to give them the rusted effect.  I used silicone for the cog, key and image to give it all dimension.  As you will see I used more glossy accents on the clock face and insect on the background to make it more interesting.  Don't know if it worked lol.  Did you see I sat her on the big cog.. do you think her bottom may be uncomfortable against all that rust? Gosh she probably chaffing her delicate area lol.   Poor Miss Locke! I did not use a sentiment so it could be used for many an occasion.......

Now for the pics

Must go now and get all the mess off my hands before starting another project lol

Tempus Fugit

Well it Saturday again and it is challenge time over at the Outlawz, Paper ala Mode and the theme has been chosen by me.  Tempus Fugit, Time Flies and I hope I have portrayed it enough to be recognisable lol.  I used a variety of stamps and many of the Distress inks by Tim Holtz and in the main using resist technique.

I made a sort of half envelope and three tags to insert in different lengths.  I am going to give this to a friend at work for christmas. A different type of tag album for her photos.  I might even fill it with pics of me LOL... joking!  I stamps a couple of wings and cut them out for dimension and used a mini metal clock to join them.  I cannot remember where the clock came from apart from in my stash LOL.

Anyway here are the pics......

Please drop on by the OUTLAWZ and join in the fun with everyone else.  Plenty of other challenges going on at the same time so go and peek.  You may like it there.

Another Xmas Prezzie!

Well hello all you wonderfully talented crafters

I have been putting this box together and was stuck as to how to decorate it so this is how it ended.  I followed a tutorial on You Tube for the box itself.

I used chipboard, coredinations, distress ink and dies as the decoration.  I found some wooden beads in my stash so used distress ink on them and they suddenly transformed into feet lol.

I made the flower from a tutorial I found on Redannes blog via May's blog, one of my Eclectic DT's.  Gosh that was a mouthful or fingerful lol.  The leaves are from a spellbinder die.  I used an enormous amount of glossy accents. Anyway I kept this simple as the person receiving this is not overly fussy for lots of embellishments.

I thought I would include the flowers I made here.... in case you are interested lol...

Well thats it from me as need to get to bed lol.....

Take Flight

Hi all

It is that time again for a new challenge over at Creative Card Crew and the theme this week is 'TREE'.  We have 'Simon Says Stamp' as our sponsor and the prize is $20 Gift Voucher.  So you all need to head on over to CCC and join in this fun challenge.

I had to think really hard on this one until I remembered I had bought some tree stamps from over at Chocolate Baroque.  I decided to create the sky background using Tim Holtz ink, Chipped Sapphire, Tumbling Glass and Milled Lavender.  I stamped the various trees using brown Memento. I found the lone bird in flight out of an Indigoblu stamp sets.  The sentiments came from a steampunk set also from Chocolate Baroque

Well that is pretty much it as there not much else to say except....Get on over to Creative Card Crew and join in.  You have to be innit to winnit!

Marry Me - Krista Smith

Good afternoon peeps

Today I have made a card for the sake of it.  I decided to colour up one of my favorite Saturated Canary images - Marry me!  I used prismas to colour her and added glamour dust to the dress.  I then cut her out and placed her onto a cream background.  The backing paper came from my stash so no idea really lol.  The pearls , feather and lace also from my stash.  I made the flower myself using the lace.  I think the swirl and corner die cut are memory box but please do not quote me on that. There really isn't much more to say on this one.  I think the card speaks for itself!

Hope you enjoy the remainder of your weekend and see you soon.  Off to check on my other blog.. Eclectic Ellapu.

Hugz and love to you all

Wasn't Me - Kenny K

Where does time go to? It just flies by and I find it's challenge time again over at Paper ala Mode, Outlawzand the theme this week is a Teenagers Birthday so I decided to use Kenny K's ''It wasn't me'' digi.  Depicts a funky teenager right?

I coloured up her using my prisma pencils and used glossy accents on her eyes and lips.  I used four different coloured paper from my stash and used an edging die along with a corner die.  The image and sentiment shapes are of course the ever faithful spellbinders.  The flower I made using a crealie die.  A new purchase of mine LOL.The letters for the sentiment is Tim Holtz Alphabet die.  So handy that one!

So here are the pics and I hope you like them.  I sure enjoyed putting it all together.

Why not get on over to the Outlawz and join in the fun.
