Wings or Flowers & Butterflies ....D

Hmmmm WINGS or Flowers and Butterflies going on over at Eclectic Ellapu - lots of scope there.  And guess what-I did not rush to get a canvas for a change.  I used and old frame insert with frames cut out.  I cut off three of them and added mountboard to the corner space.  Hats off to you all who are actually understanding my explanation lol.

I painted the front and the backing in various shades cream/beige/brown.  I cast the cherubs using my molds and plaster of paris.  These also had a coat of paint and gold rubbed over the top.  I sprayed a few flowers, leaves and buds from my stash using brown and gold stain - cant remember whether they were dylusions or not. - sorry.  The twisted lace had the same treatment.  I used tiny wooden letters for the wording and rubbed them in gold.  Thats it really.  I do hope you like my project and why not head on over to Eclectic Ellapu and join in the challenge.

Hugz and love to all

  7. This is beautiful, Elaine. I love those cherubs and the twisted edging. The whole design is so elegant and has lovely texture and dimension. The sentiment suits it beautifully. Thanks for playing along in our Anything Goes/Show a Little Green challenge at Craftitude this fortnight. I enjoyed visiting your blog.
