Forgotten dreams .... D

Another quick make today and I mean quick.  I have been suffering with toothache/abcess for last 24 hours and it is driving me insane.  I made an emergency appt but because I had taken so many painkillers I fell asleep and missed it.  Will try again tomorrow.

Anyway I put together this tag.

Chipboard
random paper
TH distress ink
handmade crochet flower/button centre
oddment of lace
and a small doily
stamped image paper artsy I think
sentiment same stamp sheet on a piece of random wood
glass phial with alcohol ink inside but spilt
metal pen nib

All of the above had the TH distress ink treatment

Now for the pics

Thats it for now

Da Birdhouse.....shabbyish!......D

Spring is finally here so instead of being outside in my garden I decided to spend the afternoon in my craftroom playing about with a cheap 99p birdhouse I had picked up from my local 99p store.  Sorry I forgot to take a photo of the before but believe me it was tacky looking - even had a glitter roof lol.  I will be heading back there to buy a few more for stash.  I will list all ingredients I used to alter it

modeling paste
brick stencil and leaf flourish stencil
white acrylic
wooden birds painted pink
dried moss sprayed with white dylusions
eggs I made from air clay
feathers
willow twigs from garden for the roof
lolly sticks bound with raffia and then painted white for fencing
pink and platinum inka gold

Did you notice the birds with moss in their beaks lol - I tried at least!

I threw all the ingredients into a mixing bowl, shook and mixed for 5 mins, did a dance round the room and voila it sprung up and jumped onto the table.

Now for the copious amount of pics... SORRY!

First pic is of a birdhouse slightly similar to the one I have altered

Now for my version

Hope you enjoyed your visit and please call back again soon

Another quick project - Vintage frames.. D

I have recently finished redecorating my bedroom and along the way I found a couple of pewter frames - I could not bring myself to give away and thought they could be upcycled/altered to tone in with my bedroom.  They definitely needed a lift lol.

The colours I used for my room are beige, cream and brown.  I did not want the frames the same so I basecoated them.  I then painted them - one in brown and the other in cream - I drybrushed over the raised elemnts using the cream on the brown and vice versa.  I finished them off using a little inka gold, gold and champagne.  Voila over and done with lol.  Told you it was quick and yet satisfying too.

Now for the pics

One for the boys over at Eclectic Ellapu......D

Where on earth does the time go.  Already into April, can't believe it.  For the next 3 weeks the challenges over at Eclectic Ellapu are

ONE FOR THE BOYS

&/or

EASTER

For my part in the boys challenge I actually revamped a stamping of a train from another piece of art a long time ago so a little recycling here for me.  I needed a card for a male colleague and he is into train watching - I call him''anorak'' to which he laughs.  I didn't have a stamp of a man wearing an anorak so TH man stamp had to step in and help me out lol.  I fussy cut round him and used foam pads to make him appear 3d.

Voila all done and dusted.  Am relieved as men's items are extremely hard for me to deal with lol.

Anyway here are the pics and hope you like them.

Why not hop on over to Eclectic Ellapu and join in the fun.  Challenges run for 3 weeks so plenty of time to create.
