Trinket basket -D

Today has been a pyjama day meanng I played in my craft room for a while.  I found these lil baskets under all my junk and knew exactly what I was going to do with them - it did not happen.  I knew I as going to paint them white (which I did) and I was planning to really bling them up - again it didn't happen that way. First of all after painting them white I lined the top basket using satin from a wedding dress.  I found some scraps of burgndy ribbon and wrapped that rounf the middle with a bow I made.  I then made a tiny flower out of the same ribbon.  I used 3 applique leaves as could not be bothered to make any lol.  I then stuck 2 strands of pearl string around the top.  At that point I was looking for other stuff to put on it but after much thought felt it best to leave it as is.

Just a few flowers...D

I made this evening.  I couldn't help myself as my order of chiffon came in so had to play.  Here are the results of the various chiffon flowers.  I also put together cream satin flowers after I had spritzed them several times with different autumnal colours.  For the centres I used seed beeds and glitter glue.  Love how they turned out.

Steampunk???? - D

Just a quick project today.... Felt like getting really messy so lots of paint and inka gold used, my hands look terrible now lol.  I used an old box, bits of chain from evergrowing stash lol, modelling paste for texture, lots of cogs and freebie cut offs from Fernli Designs.  Thats it really....... hope you like the final piece.  Sorry for overload of pics

Evening to all my blogging buddies

Not really completed a project as such as mind not on it.  My kitchen is being refurbed and it has been going on for 2 weeks already.  It is not that there was alot to do just the workmen are not all that coordinated and have zero skills in time management.  Well it is affecting my down time for crafting - so stressed out ..... Work doesn't help but then does it ever lol.

Here are a couple of pics of kitchen before and almost after.....

Anyway this evening I managed to complete a few flowers so thought I would share them with you,  They have been made using chiffons, satin, cotton canvas, pearls, mini doilies, ribbon and the odd flatback pearl.

I like to make flowers - quick end product and very relaxing.

Altered photo frame -- F

Well I have news for you all this week.  I have been asked to join CRAFTY RIBBONS DT - what could I do but say yes.  I have not been on another DT since starting my own challenge blogs so a change is as good as a rest.  I am provided with ribbons so I have used quite a few on this project.  The challenge for this week is ANYTHING GOES WITH RIBBON so why not head on over and join in with the challenge - we would love to see you there.

I have used

an old wooden photo frame - forgot to take a pic of before SORRY!

cream chalk paint (quite a few layers)  I scratched the paint off randomly with scissors instead of crackling it

TH distress ink over the top

CRAFTY RIBBONS vintage ribbon for edging, flower and bow - frayed by me and distress ink wiped over

CRAFTY RIBBONS canvas type ribbon for another flower - frayed by me and distress ink wiped over

CRAFTY RIBBONS velvet ric rac for the 2 smaller flowers and distress ink wiped over
couple of small crochet doilies under flowers again wiped over with ink

Altered Canvas for a change ....D

 It is time (pardon the pun lol) for another challenge over at Eclectic ellapu and the theme is believe it or not TIME.

Yes as you can see I dragged a canvas out and set to texturing the background using crackle paste and my brick stencil.  i then overloaded it all with paints and spray inks.  Love the final colours.  I used a TH clock face die and the hands and stuck it to a cd I had also textured with modelling paste.  I used wooden cogs, charm, metal hands and chain aound the outside of clock face.  I used my dymo for the wording - We do not have all the time in the world so make the most of every second.
