It is time for a new challenge over at The Mirror Crack'd and the theme this month is ''Masks''. This challenge is being sponsored by Woodware and the prize is £12 to spend in their store
Whatever your interpretation of this theme will be acceptable, albeit an actual mask, using mask tape etc. I chose to alter a cheap thin plastic mask and attach it to picture board ( the insert to a Photo frame). I used a piece of grey board, painted black as the back of the mask.

I collaged a music sheet on one side of the mask and dictionary on the other half. I stamped out several sizes of butterflies using the same pages and placed the word butterflies to the music side and music ones to the word side (not that you can easily see the detail). I used braiding on the edges and through the centre of the mask. I then used earrings and brooch for the eyes and mouth.
That's it for now and I do hope you will call again and please head on over to The Mirror Crack'd to leave some love to the Fabulously talented DT and enter the challenge.
Hugz always

ReplyDeleteWow - I can only imagine how wonderful this would be to see in person Elaine.... you did a FABULOUS mask creation. I love the combination of music and words.... makes me think of reading a great book with nothing but sweet, calming music playing... on the front porch with the butterflies. SMILING... if it wasn't so hot you might have inspired me to drop everything and go do that too!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs. j.
