Hello everyone... Today is the start of the new challenge for May over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit and it is my turn to host it.
For this month I altered a tin can and an empty glimmermist bottle and made it into a vase for my daughter. You know when you have just a few flowers that will get lost in those large vases - well this one just fits the bill.
I painted the tin and bottle with white acrylic paint. I then covered them with Eiffel tower serviettes. I used diluted gesso over the top to dull the colours and roughly brushed over the top and bottom rims to blend in. I used white cotton lace for the top and bottom and for the band in the middle for extra security for the mist bottle. I tied a bow using the lace and attached a heart from an old necklace. I only had pale pink paper roses and needed red so I sprayed them with dylusions and I am really pleased with the colour. I arranged them in the mist bottle and that folks is my end product.
Now for the pics
Thank you dropping in and please go on over to Rhedd's Creative Spirit and join in with the fun.
Hugz always Elaine aka Ellapu xx
