June over at RCS *

OH my the months are flying by.  I am trying to get ahead with my DT obligations and my mojo keeps coming and going just as quick as a blink of an eye lol.
For this months challenge ver at Rhedd's Creative Spirit I put together a paint brush holder using a rice tin. coffeemate tin and a coffee tin. a few napkins and a piece of ribbon.  I basically covered all tins in napkins and glued the sides of the tins together.  I place them on a piece of mount board, drew round the shape and cut out - this is the base for them to stabilize them.  I painted the inside using black acrylic and brushed over pva for a sealant.  I did the same for the outside and then used inka gold to highlight the many creases of the napkins.  Then finished off with a scrap of ribbon from my stash. First pick is of the napkins used totally unrecognizable by the end lol

That's it for now - I had managed to utilize 3 of the many tins I have laying around lol.

Why not head on over to Rhedd's and join in with the fun xx

This has been entered into the following challenges

OOOOOppppppssss I made a mistake 8

Yes I am human after all lol.  As you know I own Eclectic Ellapu and we have a Pink and Purple team.  Well I looked at the challenge themes and I thought the wedding challenge was for the pink team so I went ahead and made this photo birdhouse with the theme of wedding - well imagine my dismay when I realized it was actually the purples theme and the pink team was midsummer.  I promised if I made another project I would be adding that also.

Anyway for now it is the bird house.  I used a paper napkin to decoupage the house - loads of wrinkles but got there in the end.

I then cut out a photo imagae and edged it with lace - I used the same lace to edge the roof.  I made a tiny bow with the trim and attached it to a pendant rescued from an old piece of jewellry which was painted white with pink ink gold rubbed over the top. I used paper roses to decorate.  The only problem I have is I only have large roses so to make do I took a couple of flowers apart and squeezed the petals together to look something like a smaller bloom.  I used a couple of leaves painted roughly with white acrylic and added a few pearl sprays.  That is it a wedding bird house.  Now for the pics

Thank you for popping in and please call again real soon and why not head on over to EE and join in with the fun challenge.

Love always xx

Altered Eclectics June Challenge 8

Yes that's right June already.  I just don't know where the time is going to.  Before I start heading off to make Christmas decorations I managed to alter a dressform that had been sitting on my table for months.  I just did not know what to do with it.

First off I used napkins as the basis on the form.  I then used pale blue lace and cream chiffon draping  it randomly over the body until I was happy with it.  I used a flower from a trim for the side.  Thta's it and hope you don't get fed up with overload with pics.

Why not head on over to Altered Eclectics and join in with the fun.

Hugz always

Elaine aka Ellapu xx
