OOOOOppppppssss I made a mistake 8

Yes I am human after all lol.  As you know I own Eclectic Ellapu and we have a Pink and Purple team.  Well I looked at the challenge themes and I thought the wedding challenge was for the pink team so I went ahead and made this photo birdhouse with the theme of wedding - well imagine my dismay when I realized it was actually the purples theme and the pink team was midsummer.  I promised if I made another project I would be adding that also.

Anyway for now it is the bird house.  I used a paper napkin to decoupage the house - loads of wrinkles but got there in the end.

I then cut out a photo imagae and edged it with lace - I used the same lace to edge the roof.  I made a tiny bow with the trim and attached it to a pendant rescued from an old piece of jewellry which was painted white with pink ink gold rubbed over the top. I used paper roses to decorate.  The only problem I have is I only have large roses so to make do I took a couple of flowers apart and squeezed the petals together to look something like a smaller bloom.  I used a couple of leaves painted roughly with white acrylic and added a few pearl sprays.  That is it a wedding bird house.  Now for the pics

Thank you for popping in and please call again real soon and why not head on over to EE and join in with the fun challenge.

Love always xx

  4. This is absolutely gorgeous - and it does kinda fit a midsummer theme with the roses - and weddings do happen more often in summer!!
