Well here we are just crossing over into the 2nd half of the year and with a new challenge over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit. For this challenge I found inspiration on you tube for this idea but mine is totally different. I can't remember who it was I saw either so apologise for that. If I remember I will add to the write up. I altered a 99p cheap looking birdhouse on top of a wine glass as a stand and also to house a battery tealight.
I painted the house using white, added a crackle medium and then overlay with a cream acrylic (I mixed it myself using white and a little yellow). I then attached lace flowers from a trim and pink mulberry roses and randomly attached to house and glass. I used leaves from a silk flower spray also purchased from the 99p shop. Actually I bought some robins from the Christmas section of the 99p shop lol. I painted the robin in cream, painted the bill and eyes brownish colour and added pearls to the eyes. I used eggs and nests from the Easter section and painted them cream also. For the roof and base of house I used a beige cotton trim. For the base of the birdhouse and glass bottom I covered with felt, added a tassle and stuck the two together - voila all done innit!
That's it for now and sorry for the overload of pics.
Why not head on over to Rhedd's Creative Spirit and join in with the fun. Hope to see you there
