July over at Rhedd's

Over half way through year and I cannot believe how time is flying by.  It is time for a new challenge over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit and for this month I used part of an old calico/cotton tablecloth to make this needlecase/case book for a colleague who was leaving her job and move onto pastures new.  I used batting for the filling and used laces and handmade flower for decoration.

She loved it by the way lol.  Just as well cos I was not going to make anything else lol.

July Challenge over at Altered Eclectics

Hey everyone

I do hope everyone is well.  For this months challenge over at Altered Eclectics I have started the Christmas dread lol.  I had bought some polystyrene balls months ago and forgot all about them lol.  I am sure that resonates with most of you.

I had some scraps of satin material and so it began.  After attaching the material I used pearl trim between the colours.  I attached ribbon to the op to hang it by and a tassle at the bottom.  

This was seriously a basic alteration but enjoyed making it.  I think I may buy more satin and get right into the Christmas thing! lol.
