Handmade leather like notebook - D

It is time for the May challenge over at Altered Eclectics and I felt a little stuck for ideas so decided to surf  the You tube tutorials. I come across one on making kraft card look and feel like leather.  Hmmmm so out came the craft card lol.  I spritzed it with water mixed with glycerine several times and scrunching the card along the way.  I then wiped distress inks over the creases and run it through bigshot in a butterfly and script embossing folder.  It needed to dry for a while so I cut several pieces of paper for the inside pages. When the card was dry I lined the inside of cover with some scrap material - this got the ink treatment also.  I used various inks and rubs over the embossed area until I was completely satisfied with it.  I covered the inside and outside with modpodge to seal it and shine.  I then sewed the paper inside the book and voila - all complete and now sitting in my handbag for future notes to self lol.

Sorry for overload of pics but that is how it is lol.......

Thank you for taking the time to pop on over to see my lil ol notebook and hope to see you over at Altered Eclectics this month

Hugz always
