Yes it is that time again - goes so quickly. The theme this month is ''Wings''. I had bought a few of Christmas decs in the sale purely for altering and among them was this really cute owl so what better use than to alter fore this challenge - I just hope I have done him justice. .
I used an old music sheet for his body and head. For his wings, tail and round his eyes polyfiller mixed with black paint. I hung a chain round his neck with a book charm - well he is a wise old owl after all.
I made his hat out of card, covered it in filler, put a band of music sheet round the base of top and stuck 2 feathers in the band. I wiped inka gold over all the black parts and used 2 yellow gemstones I had lying about. I wanted him to be on some kind of podium so I used one of my many baskets I have cluttering up my room lol. I painted it black and used the inka gold again. I used it over the letters and stuck them to the base.
I do hope you like my project - I am quite pleased with him and is something different for me. Now for overload of pics. - SORRY!
That's it for now but before I go I want to remind you of this fun challenge over at The Mirror Crack'd and it would be great to see you over there joining in.
Hugz and love always
