With Sympathy

I made a Sympathy card today.  Cards that no one likes to make. This one was needed by a friend so she asked me to do it for her.  

Digital image from PNGWing and butterfly die I cannot remember origin (have far too much stuff lol)

I altered the colour slightly on the lily.  

I printed the image twice.  The top layer I die cut the butterflies.  I then matched the other printed lily for the underneath.  This gave the continuity of the image through the die cut and matching the wings.  I stuck diamante crystals on for their bodies.

Winter Wonderland

 Hi all

 I am getting right into making a few Christmas cards.  I have so many left from last year I know the Charity shop will benefit from them.

O Christmas Tree.......

 Yes I have busy making yet another Christmas card lol. 

This time I decided to build a tree out of snowflakes. I don't remember what make the die is. 

I cut it 14 times to build it up.stacked 3 times bottom, 2 in the middle and just one for the top, I then used a star die just for the stars (the cut outs) The start of the song I wrote on laptop and printed for the front panel the card - to save confusion the lyrics are Aretha Franklin's version to me she is a legend. I prefer the word 'Thy' to 'your'.

If nothing ever changed ......

 Here is mine for today a butterfly card. I do like my butterflies. The die I used today is made by Memory Box, I used one of my alcohol ink vellum as the background and for the body and feelers after being strengthened with card behind them. The sentiment was composed in word and found on the internet. This saying has been used a lot whilst being a mental health facilitator in my workplace. With all the changes to the way we live now worldwide we have had to embrace change. Anyway here is my make.......

 Today I have put together another Christmas card,  For this one I used a maple leaf stencil with distress oxide ink, stamped a stag and trees in the background all of which are made by Inkylicious,  The sentiment is unbranded.

NOEL

I had made some shaving foam backgrounds this morning (as if I didn't have enough already lol) and this one I used nearly ended up in the bin as it was too 'loud and in your face' if you know what I mean.

But then I thought red and tinges of creamy green shouted out Christmas.

I had just bought the NOEL die by Creative expressions and already had the holly die but unfortunately cannot remember the make. The middle of the card and edges are scored. NOEL on foam tape. So here it is yet another Christmas card!!!!!

Flying by to say hi.......

Well today I am back to using one of my shaving foam backgrounds.

I found this set of dies in my stash all forgotten about and have no idea as to where it came from. There is a bigger butterfly in the set but felt it too big for this project. These dies are unusual as they don't cut out completely.

I think what I should have done is had the pattern behind cream butterflies, might just try that later on. I used pearls on their bodies. very difficult to take pictures light box seemed to make the butterflies disappear into the pattern lol.

Sentiment written on laptop. Card scored round the edges and found the perfect brownish/coffee card in my stash, again all forgotten about and never used before. The second pic I hope you can see the detail clearer

Puddy catz

 This is my effort for today. I decided to leave apertures, backgrounds and die cuts alone today,  I wanted something simple, cute and sarcastic so he it is.

The cat stamps I cannot remember the origin and never used before.  You know how it is so much stuff and not remembering what you have lol. I coloured them using my copics

Happy Birthday 1

 Hi all

Today I wrestled in my head as to what to make. Then I decided when I found my alcohol inks from my mixed media days so out they came

300gsm smooth card stock

Tracing paper instead of vellum - much much cheaper same effect

alcohol inks Raspberry, Sailboat blue and citrus blended with Isopropanol industrial 99%

Once happy with effect I stamped over the inks using a background flower stamp (unbranded) and heat embossed using copper ultrafine embossing powder. I then stamped again at different angle and embossed using silver

I used an unbranded tag die and embossed the larger size to look like a frame

Stuck a teen weeny lilac diamante to the top

Front of card with tag aperture fixed to front using double sided foam tape

Die cut my memory box poppies twice and layered. popped double sided foam under the flower to keep it level when stuck down

Love Bunny's

 Today I swore to myself I would not touch the bunnies for a while however .... you know how it goes lol. I had more alcohol ink backgrounds and after cutting the branches there was a tiny bit left - enough for the bunnies so there you go - the inevitable happened. I layered the branches and bunnies on white card and placed a heart gem between them. The sentiment I composed on laptop.

Christmas card

 Hi all

I decided to make a Christmas card for a change.  

I used:

Linen card stock

Alcohol inked background on vellum with gilding flakes , then ink lifted using a crackle stamp and stamped off on card - which I used for the top letters and the banner beneath.

Die I have no idea of origin - background vellum and stamped off card for the top layer

Christmas tree cut from backgound vellum backed with card

I needed to make this card for when my daughter moves house.  I made couple of weeks ago however never got round to posting it on my blog until now.

You make my heart sing

 Today I have put together a card for someone special in my life. 

I used 

linen card 300gsm

A die I have no idea of the origin, found in my stash never used, can't even remember buying it. layered twice

The bunnies are by Alexandra Renke put together using vellum. I used alcohol inks for the colour. Citrus and sailboat blue.  These were then stuck to a piece of card to make him stable. I then cut them twice more and cut their legs off so his top half were in line with the music and would lay flat against the card base.

Bon Voyage

I made this card just because - no reason just wanted to give  life to these little fellas,

The dies are by Alexandra Renke - cannot remember what they were called.

 I used 300 gsm linen card for all the white elements/card base and baby blue for the other bits and pieces. 

I used my fiskars texture board with embossing tool for the brickwork ground.  I printed the sentiment from my laptop and cut round them for the signpost.

 Took me absolutely ages to piece this card all .together

Anyhow here they are off on their travels
