Crafty Ribbons Birthday - F

Hi all

This week the challenge over at Crafty Ribbons is Birthday with ribbon.  Brilliant challenge as we always need Birthday cards and prezzies.  I have to say I actually made a card - first in months well a long long time.  I used Kraft card (my fave) a corner stamp that has been kicking about in one of my drawers lol and a birthday sentiment from Indigo Blu.  I coloured the flowers using wet paint brush and distress ink pads.  All three of the ribbons came from Crafty Ribbons Shop - great choice of ribbons to wet your appetite over there.

Well that's it from me.  i do hope to see you all over CR Challenge Blog to join in with the birthday fun.

Birthday Card - F

I am well and truly making good use of my day off today - one canvas complete and now a birthday card.

For this card I used cream hammered card as the basis.  I then covered more cream card with distress inks for the initial layer.  I did the same thing to another piece of card using a lighter ink and splashed it with water - let it dry completely before stamping and heat embossing.  I used three different archival inks to colour the stamo and birthday sentiment and used clear embossing powder. Finally I coloured the image (Chocolate Baroque) using copics (using similar colours in relative to the colours I used on the stamped image).

I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and please call again.

Just a card....F

Basically I made a card for a friend.  The background is stamped and gold embossed.  The image is a Muchi lady, stamped and coloured using copics and prismas.  The bow I tied myself and the letters are stamps and gold embossed.  Quite difficult to see them clearly - bad lighting but they say ANITA lol. Much better in real life lol.  I edged the black card with inka gold.  Lots of gold in it huh lol.

Thats it folks - here are the pics

Altered Playing Cards - F

Oh what to do, what to do? lol.  I think this alot when in craft room - too much stuff, need to sort it all out and get my act together so I started to sort out a drawer and come across alot of playing cards so I thought why the hell not! lol

So here are my altered playing cards.

The pics come first with the brief details beneath for each one

This one I covered the top half with crumpled serviette just to give texture.  I stamped a ladys head and tore round the piece I wanted and stuck it onto the card after a little distressing. I wanted her to look a little more colourful so gave her some blusher! I covered the remainder of the card in a crackle paint and wiped over the entire thing with inka gold in green, turquioise and pink.  I tore a partial sentiment and stuck it at the bottom and used wooden letters to complete the word 'young'.  I used inka gold over the letters.

This one I gessoed first.  I covered it in Distress Inks, red, green, blue and brown and sprayed with water to mingle them up a little.   I stamped a random flourish in the corner and rubbed white perfect pearls over it.I used a grass stamp, gate and clouded sun.   I think the outcome is effective but that is just my opinion lol.
Voila! all done

I do hope you you visit again and again and again lol

Coaster makeover..F

I had 2 really sad coasters in my living room so I decided to give them a makeover with some vintage papers I forgot I had, TH inks, which I then splashed with water to make them look older  and La Blanche stamps - I love these stamps real quality!  Sentiment stamps from Die'sire. I then sealed them with mod podge and rock candy - That's it all done......I hope I have managed to capture the crackle effect

Before

and after

Hope you like them just as much as I do.
