Canary Love - Krista Smith

Hi all

Well what an awful day today.. for me that is! Woke up and it was snowing but it wasn't enough for me not to go to work LOL... maybe tomorrow (I can hope!)  Yesterday I put the makings of a card together and when done started colouring up Canary Love, my freebie from Krista over at Saturated Canary.  If I didn start it once I started it at least nine times and gave up.  I think I was over tired and didn't concentrate on the job in hand.  Anyway I finished her tonight and I am well happy with the final result.  I then got a little carried away with the embellies etc... as you will see!!!
Ingredients
Backing papers - Raspberry Road
Image - Canary Love  (Prisma pencils)
Flower- Handmade Spellbinder die
Pearls/pearl hearts - my stash
Leaves - Spellbinders
Flourish - Nellie Snellen die
Lace edge - Marianne Creatables die

I wish you could see the glamour dust on this as in real life it really stands out and is pretty.. Oh well!

Have you spotted my deliberate take on this!  I shall tell you... the dove I coloured yellow to resemble a  canary LOL......

Hope you all have a good evening and that is definitely it for me tonight (although I already have in my head the next project and am looking forward to it LOL)
I shall be heading to bed in the next hour (or so !) and if start another card I will be up all night and that won't keep me fresh for work now will it? LOL.

Ellies Birthday - Krista Smith

Good morning everyone

This is just a short post this morning as I have lots to do (all the boring stuff that needs doing...shopping etc LOL)

I coloured up another image from Saturated Canary... Krista is so talented and it is always a joy to work with them.

Ingredients
Paper - were freebies but cannot remember where from (that comes from having too much and forgetting to label the file LOL).. sorry.
Image - Ellies Birthday - Krista Smith
Pearls and ribbon - my stash

The inside compliments the front as usual

This is actually quite a plain card but I think it works. I just couldn't think of anything to enhance it in any way.  Thats about it really.  Have a good day all and see you soon

MitC Ornate Scroll with Thank you ticket by Suzanne Brill

Hi again

I am not feeling all that good but wanted something quick, easy and a little different to make.  So I merged the ticket onto the scroll which I had aldready rotated and decided to finally get the acetate out, dusted it off and got on with it.  The backing papers are by Dragons Lair Digital designs.  The image was coloured as per with my pencils.  I added some glamour dust, a cream rose (not made by me this time!) and a couple of die cut leaves.  I mounted the acetate over the centre of the card.  I finished off with ribbon and bow onto the acetate. uite difficult to see the effect on here but I like the finished product.

Anyway thanks for looking and be back soon perhaps!

Wryn Grow a little love - Christy Croll

Its that time again to post LOL....

Tonight I have been working on Wryn to enter into Tiddlyinks challenge, Colours - yellow, orange, blue and green. I love these new characters so was not difficult to get my backside into gear.

I coloured up the image with my usual pencils.  I used the same papers as the previous card as I love them so much however reversed the layout. The backing papers are from Nitwits.  The ribbon and bow are from my stash as are the pearl gems.

The leaves are spellbinders and the roses are made by me.  I coloured the mulbery paper with a promarker to get the right shade.  I placed a few different coloured butterflies which I coated with glamour dust and teenyweeny gems for their bodies. I even placed one on the large rose.  The sentiment came with the image and is just as cute.

The inside compliments the front of the card.

Well thats it for me again... peace and quiet for all LOL.. Nighty night and please feel free to drop by again soon.

Teen Fairy Pia - Mo Manning

Good morning everyone and what another beautiful bright fresh morning it is.  I am not at work today as I believe I have picked up a bug from the hospital so am trying to remedy that before my appointment with my mothers palliative care team this afternoon.Unsure if I spelt that correctly! I finished this card yesterday and was not in the mood to post so thought best get it on here as I will be entering this one into Mo Mannings Clean and Simple challenge.  I used Teen Fairy Pia  - she is so darn cute and ideal for a birthday card which will come in handy for sure.

The background papers are from Nitwits The bumbleberry collection.  So fresh and clean looking.  I coloured the image with my faithful prismacolor pencils... the usual LOL.

I added butterflies punched from the green backing paper and added 1mm gems to the bodies.  I also used the gems on her birthday present.  I glittered the butterflies wings.  I actually had a glittering spate on this one as she oozes sparkle in herself.  Green and yellow pearl gems were added and the sentiment is from LOTV.

The inside is decorated to compliment the front....I hope you enjoyed your visit and have a nice day.
