Wryn Close to my heart - Christy Croll @ Tiddlyinks

Yayyyy I got my hands on the new release from Tiddlyinks today and have managed to complete one tonight to keep my mind off of things. I chose Close to my heart as it very apt for Valentines Day and I love a bit of romance (LA LA Land in my case LOL) I will be entering this into Top TIP Tuesdays challenge of Anything Goes.

As you can see I distressed all the edges of the cardstock.  Wanted to do something different so I did! The backing papers believe it or not are from Nitwits, Tapestry of Christmas.  I just love the colours in that particular collection, so rich. I used flourish diecuts from my stash (well they had to be used at some point LOL) and used distress inks on them before covering them with teeny pearl gems.  I think I may have got carried away.... The diecut lace border also got the pearl treatment.

I had already made the roses a few days ago and they came in handy tonight.  The sentiment came with the image so that made life alot easier. I stuck a heart hat pin into the larger rose which overlaps the bow made from ribbon in my stash.  I like the wide ribbons as they look quite luxurious.. well I think so anyway! I punched out the butterflies and they too got the glitter and pearl treatment.  

The inside of the card follows the theme of the front.  

Anyway I am heading to bed now, not because of work but I  need to be running about for my poorly mummy.
