New challenges over at Eclectic Ellapu

March already and time for new challenges over at Eclectic Ellapu.  For this month the PINK team theme is ''Thinking of you'' and the PURPLE team are hosting ''Floral and Fauna''.  The DT have been decreasing in numbers so my card originally for the Pink team has now been used for the Purple theme.   I will be running a DT call for both Altered Eclectics and Eclectic Ellapu very soon when I find the time to do so.  So if you are interested in becoming an Eclectic girly watch out for the DT calls on the blogs.

I made a Mothers day card for my stepmother using some beautiful poppy paper I had kicking about in the draw.  I printed the sentiment out on card and used some cream ribbon for the finishing touches.  Quite a simple card really but I like it.

Living room canvas

I have been at a loss as to what to make for this months challenge over at Altered Eclectics.  My mojo got up, packed its bags and left me for goodness knows how long.  I kid you not.  

 I managed to put this together a few weeks ago for my living room.  I used an 12 x 24 inch canvas.  I used modelling paste through 3 stencils, brickwork, stripes and sun ray type thingy,  for the background.  I painted over it several times using several colours until I achieved the lightish green.  I used inka gold over the textues.  I had bought some cheap dried arrangements from the local pound shop which I pulled apart, cut up and glued to the canvas.  All done and now for the pics

Love actually over at Eclectic Ellapu *

Happy New year!  First challenge for 2016 over at Eclectic Ellapu and because it is February is LOVE Actually.  I put together a wedding album for a friend of mine who got married couple of weeks ago - Fools lol.  I used chip board for the basis, card for the pocket pages and for the decor First Edition papers ( I think)  which are absolutely gorgeous. Silk ribbons for the bows, lots of magnets for the interactive pages Oh yess alot of patience lol.  Now for motherload of pics - sorry!

Coffee come sweeties..*

My oh my 2016 here we are and the start of another creative year.  This month for Altered Eclectics I have altered a coffee jar into a sweetie jar.  I used silk ribbon for the bow, calico and lace for the decoration and the I made the flower for the glass jar top.

Sauce jar into vase

Happy New Year from Rhedd's Creative Spirit and for my first project of 2016 I altered a sauce jar into a shabby chic vase.  I used muslin as the background and lace from my wedding dress.  A small cotton doily as the backdrop for a cabochon from a broken necklace.

Bonus Spotlight winner *

over at Crafting by Designs.  This challenge theme is Anything Goes and will run from 6th Jan to the 25th. 

I am blessed to have been chosen to be a guest designer and to take part in this fab challenge.  For this I had put together an advent calendar box.  I used Tim Holtz matchbox die, Christmas papers, holly berry embellishments for the pulley handles.  For the top I used random glittery Christmas decos and a tip of a Christmas tree branch.

Happy New Year *

and here is one of my Christmas decorations.  I know Christmas is over but felt it would be a waste not to share with you.  It is time for the first challenge over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit in 2016.

I altered 3 hearts and strung them together.  I covered them in prety papers and decorated with altered tacky christmas decorations with dabs of white paint from our local pound shop, added some ribbon bows on each heart.  Here is the result................
