Juliette on her couch - MIC

Yes I am back yet again..... I love this holiday lark and creating cards keep me from thinking about all the rotten stressful things going on around me.  Tonight I purchased Juliette from MIC as I fell in love with her immediately.  I also bought her couch to lounge on... she is great fun to attack with my pencils LOL.

The backing papers are Aisne Smith @ Card Making Downloads.  I just love all the contrasts available and will most likely be using them again and again.  They have a kind of Victorian feel to them.

I cut out the corners in contrast dotty paper and was originally going to place them over top the image however I felt they were cutting into the image too much so decided to place them under the corners and I am really pleased with the effect.

The pearl gems and ribbon were from my stash and the sentiment was kicking around in my box of bits and bobs so unsure as to where it came from...The inside of the card follows the same colourways to compliment the front.

Anyway I am now heading out of here for the night... well what I really mean is that I am staying away from my craft table or I will never get to bed LOL.  I am sure you know what I mean!  I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed putting it together....

Please feel free to follow my blog or even leave a comment if you so wish.... This is now listed on Ebay

FairieFae Smiles, FairieFae Dreams with Sitting Flower

Good afternoon all, The weather here is awful so have not ventured out at all yet.  I will have to though as need milk LOL.  Today I have a kind of monochrome birthday card to share with you.  I am a little annoyed with myself as I mucked up the background to the image so in the end had to cut round the image and I just hate doing that!
Any how I have merged Tiddlyinks Fairie Fae Smiles and Dream with MIC's Sitting Flower.

I colored the image with my pencils....The backing papers are from the Paper Shelter and Summer Driggs.

I placed the image onto a large grey marabou feather and on top of birthday sentiment.  I found this lonely dream catcher pendant in my stash and think it sits right with the theme of the card.  The brad is from WOC.

Pearl gems are from my stash and the rose is also from WOC.  The swirl is a die cut which I used distress inks to match in with colour.

Ribbon and hand made bow also from my stash.  The inside of the card follows the them through.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and feel free to follow my blog or comment ....

Ragged Romeo - Mo Manning

Yayyyyyyyy...... I'm back..

Hope everyone is enjoying the festive season.  I had a good couple of days with friends and family however I am so excited to having my craft equipment back out and guess what?  I have managed to put a card together....

With Valentines/Romance in mind I used Mo Mannings new image called Ragged Romeo.  I merged it with a frame which I believe to be from Cuddly Buddly however not 100% positive. I have so many images and I usually place them in my book with exact information surrounding the image however I must have missed this one out so I am really sorry about its origin!

The backing papers are by Summer Driggs from the collection called Moments. I used Bazzill card stock for initial backing, hand made roses by me, punched out butterflies and a swirl die cut. The pearl gems are from my stash along with 1mm crystal gems for the three mini butterflies.

The sentiment is by Suzanne Brill @ Cardmaking Downloads.  I used promarkers and prismacolor pencils for the image and used Tim Holtz distress ink (Old Paper) around the image to give an aged look.  I sprinkled glamour dust on the roses and base of the heart just to give it a little something.... I used Old Paper distress glitter glue on the roses and butterfly wings.

The inside of the card again follows the theme of the front.

Well thats it for me tonight... will be going to bed all excited that my craft area is back with me.... How sad but never mind LOL

May you all continue to enjoy the festive season and see you soon.....

Poppy with Poppy Accent Frame - Tiddlyinks

Okay so the previous card was not the last one tonight but this one is LOL.  In fact it will probably be the last one this side of Xmas ... I'm crying here!
I decided to merge Tiddlyinks, Poppy and Poppy Accent frame together for this creation.  They look great.. well I think so anyway....

The backing papers are by Summer Driggs-Apples and Almonds.  Fantastic papers to work with.  They are layered onto Bazzill cardstock.  The sentiment is from Cardmaking Downloads.

I coloured Poppy using my pencils.....

I made the roses from Bazzill cardstock as the colour goes so well with the backing papers.  I used distressed stickles on the roses and placed a pearl stamen in the centres.

I placed three mini butterflies that I punched out and covered them in glamour dust and placed teenie weenie 1mm crystal gems down their spines.

The inside I kept plain and simple which compliments the front of the card.

Well that is definitely me done in for the night.  I would like to take the opportunity to wish every a Happy Christmas (just in case I do not get back on beforehand....)

Nighty Night, Love ya all

Zoe Celebrates - Make it Crafty

Evening all (well those that visit!)

Tonight I felt driven to make a patchwork type of background.  I used five papers from Pretty in Plaid collection by Raspberry Road. I cut out seperate squares and attached them to Bazzill car. I also made corners and placed them over the image corners.

The image is Zoe Celebrates from Make it Crafty.  She is such a fun character and I loved colouring her up.  Her hair is just so so... fantastic to work with.  This card will be fantastic for a girls birthday.. well actually Zoe is so cute even an adult will appreciate her.  So full of energy....

I coloured her hair with promarkers and prisma pencils and the remainder of the image with my pencils.

I used my bigshot for the swirl and the flowers I made up from my stash.  I fastened them together with tiny brads from my stash. I threaded pink coloured fine raffia  through a pink button also from my stash.

The sentiment is from Cardmaking Downloads (can you believe it I actually remembered where it comes from LOL). I coloured it using Tim Holtz Tattered Roses distress ink.

The inside carries the same theme from the front.  The bottom line is I really enjoyed working on this project .  I'm sure this card will come in useful ......

Anyway I'm off  for a while.  I may be back  later if I get on with another card LOL....

Today.......................

I am not posting one of my creations.  Instead I am posting a creation by a fellow crafter, Anita, who works in the same office as me.  She very kindly made a thank you card for me in response to receiving some rubber stamps.  I am sure she will put them to good use.  I am extremely impressed with her embossing skills.  So here it is....

How clever is she..... I have no patience with embossing LOL.  Just as well we all have different skills ot it would all become really boring!

Anyway thats all from me til later perhaps.

Hip hip hooray.......

Last day of work until  January.... the sad thing is I have to pack my craft equipment away from the dining table for a few days so on the other hand that will stress me out LOL...

Lizzie with Gift - Make it Crafty

Just a quickie tonight.. again.  I was experimenting with my coredinations paper by Tim Holtz.  Had it sitting there quite a while so tonight I thought I would branch out so to speak......

I used an embossing folder on the coredinations card and then roughed it some lol.  Quite efffective I think.  I also embossed lilac card and used Tim Holtz distress ink to highlight the pattern.  I used the ink on the mini doily from Poppyscabin.  The sentiment I am sorry to say that I cannot remember where I bought it from.  If I remember I will link to it.

Now for the cute image.  She is called Lizzie with gift and she is from Make it Crafty.  I really like that site....
The ribbon is from my stash.  I have not decorated the inside and I am unsure whether to or not.  I think I may keep the card in my stash for those birthdays or occasions that I forgot about until last minute.  I am sure I am not the only one that does that.  Anyway that is it for me today...
Take care and god bless

Sneaky Bear Birthday cupcake from Sassy Cheryl

Tonight I have been busy getting this card done for someone at work with time running out as usual!  Its her Nans 90th birthday on Christmas Day, her eyesight quite poor so the request was to keep it simple and pretty.  A bear was another must so I actually got round to using this image for the first time tonight and believe me this has been hanging around for a while now... I think I have far too many LOL.  I bought Sneaky bear from Sassy Cheryls.

The backing is a mixture of cream and pink cardstock which I ran through my bigshot for the snowflake effect seeing as her birthday is Christmas Day.  The edges of the card were cut also in Bigshot.  Sneaky was coloured using my pencils with a touch of glitter on the cake and candles.

Isn't he just the cutest and was a joy to colour too.  The inside of the card follows the theme of the front but I added some tiny balloons on the inside.  I used a punch for them and attached some string to them.  The jury is out on whether I add some glitter to them in the next 24 hours LOL.  I know she is 90 but I think everyone is entitled toa cute card and  hope it makes her smile.  It's a ripe old age to celebrate huh!

Right once again it is late and now I need to head to bed.  No work tomorrow but I have to attend a funeral so need to be a little mindful of what I am doing....

Night night all and thanks for dropping by......

Lab Christmas - Mo Manning

I'm back again.. was about to head off to bed and realised I ought to post this one before it leaves my hands forever tomorrow.  I have been asked by a work colleague to make this Christmas card for her mother.  I loved making this one as the images of Lab Christmas is too cute for words ......

I embossed the background with my faithful Big shot and carried that through to part of the image.  No backing papers which makes a change.. Just plain and simple....I computer generate the sentiment (Wordart I think) and added a few pearls from my stash.

The inside just compliments the front.

Well folks this is it.. defo up to bed.......Night all and thank you for dropping by x

Sassy Studio Designs Bella Bride and Make it Crafty Carriage of Love

The images I decided to work upon are just as the heading above says....Bella Bride next to her Carriage of Love.  I know when I was alittle girl I dreamt of travellingin style all romantic like and then I woke up LOL. I feel I may be getting boring here because it is yet another wedding card LOL

The backing papers are from Wedded Bliss @ Raspberry Road designs.  I used a corner die on the coordinationing strip beneath the image.  I think it adds something to the card... don't know what though LOL.  Actually this card is quite simple and I wanted it that way as the image, I feel is the card.  Does that make sense to anyone???

I used my pencils to colour the image and the carried the theme over inside.  I used gems pearls and ribbons from my stash and plenty of glitter..... I must wean myself off from the glitter... My rug looks pretty though LOL....

Well thats it for that one so I will get myself up the wooden hill and catch up on some Z'dz.....

Christy Croll Vampire Forever with Make it Crafty Ornate Floral Frame

Evening everyone.....

Tonight I have been really busy getting my tree decorated and in between putting this card together.  I was quite excited about this one as I had merged the images before going to bed last night and all day long at work I had been thinking about getting down to it LOL.  I merged Vampire forever by Christy Croll at Tiddlyinks with Ornate Floral Frame from Make it Crafty.

The images look so gorgeous together, well I think so anyway LOL.  I used prisma pencils...again! The backing papers are from Beige by you - LynneCall designs.  Really lovely papers.

I stitched the papers to the card as you will see.  I decided this would make a lovely wedding card so I just used the computer to write a simple sentiment which has also been stitched.

The pearl gems, ribbon and lace are from my stash.

I made the roses myself and this time instead of using mulberry papers I wanted to carry the beige/brown theme so decided to use Bazzill Kraft card.  Was not as easy to shape but pleased with the results all the same.  I also used diecut leaves and petals underneath the roses.  I used distressed stickles on them.  Could't make a card without some kind of sparkle LOL.

The inside is simple however follows the theme throughout.

Anyway thats enough for me tonight.  Hope you enjoyed your visit and I am sure I won't be away for long LOL.

Christy Croll Fairy Fae Dreams, Fairy Fae Smiles with Cold by Light by Make it Crafty

Good evening all...

Tonight I made a card of merged images for Tiddlyinks final challenge of the year - White Christmas.  The images I have used for this challenge are Fairy Fae Dreams and Fairy Fae Smiles with the background from Make it Crafty, Cold by Light.  I used my pencils once again and lots of glitter and snow for effect.....

I used holographic card and white snowflake embossed card for the background.

I actually found it quite challenging getting the snow and glitter in the right places.  Halfway through I swear I was screaming inside my head LOL.

I used white ribbon and pearl gems from my stock and the sentiment I found in amongst my stash and unfortunately I cannot remember where it came from......

I have kept this card quite simple in comparison to most of my others.  Well I felt I shouldn't overdo the embellishments as the images are quite busy.. LOL

Anyway I hope you enjoy your visit and please feel free to follow my blog or leave a comment.....

Wedding Couple - LOTV

This evening I just felt in a soppy romantic mood hence another wedding card. This time I used a stamp from LOTV which has been in one of my drawers for ages so I stamped it up, got the sewing machine out and heres the end product.

I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils.  The backing papers are from Wedded Bliss, Raspberry Road.  I used a mini doily from Poppys Cabin.

I have aded ribbon and white cotton lace from my stash and for a change made a bow from the same lace.

As you will see I have glittered up some mini butterflies punched out of white cardstock and stuck them randomly.....  I love butterflies LOL.

The sentiment tag I obtained from Miss Cutie Pie.  See I actually remembered this time LOL.  All the pearl gems are from my stash.

The roses I made from silver threaded mulberry paper and glittered them up as you do LOL.

And finally the inside follows the same theme as front of card.

Now thats me crafted out for tonight so I hope you all have a good evening and thank you for stopping by... Please feel free to leave a comment or even follow my blog if you that interested LOL

Now on Ebay.....
