More Xmas Tree Deco's for Rhedd's Creative Spirit 5

Yes I am here again with more glitterey sparkly tree decorations.  Once again I used glitter card, diamante chain, pearl string and centre pieces.  Couple of them are beads from broken jewelley so was worth while keeping them lol.  Now for the pics and hope you like them as much as I did putting them together.

Please head on over to Rhedd's Creative Spirit and join in with our challenge

December challenge over at Altered Eclectics 1

For this months challenge over at Altered Eclectics I have put together my version of a fairy in a jar, using a coffee jar. I put this together for a colleague as a Christmas gift.   Double whammy as got to enjoy the coffee first lol. For this project I used dried moss, sprayed green, a photo of a fairy and glittered up, twigs for the tree, paper napkin for the background, butterflies cut from the napkin and a handmade flower for the top.

Thanks for dropping by and please why not head on over to Altered Eclectics for this final challenge of 2017.  New challenges will begin in February to give us all a well deserved break.

December challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu

This month the challenge theme is of course Anything Christmas and this opens the floodgates from anything from gifts, cards, gift boxes etc.  Such a lot of choice.

I decided to make some Christmas tree decorations. I saw a You Tube video which gave me the inspiration but cannot for the hell of me remember who it was.  If i find it again I will post it here later

I used glitter card shaped using a scalloped die. I used 2 bails top and bottom for the dangley beads and ribbon through the top. I used various bead trims, glitter and center pieces.  Something easy but time consuming to get it just right but I think the end result justifies my time and effort.  I will  definitely be making  a lot more for pressies for my work colleagues.

Now for the pics

Please head on over to our challenge - remember this is the last challenge until February as the DT need a break.

Hugs always xx

Hi all

I know I have been lacking in my crafting and my blogging and am only just getting back some motivation by doing simple thins so here we go.

i had some really tacky plastic dragonflies and decided to alter one to use in a future project.  I altered this using various coloured alcohol inks and then used inka gold to highlight the raised areas.  i told you this was a simple one lol.  Now for the pics....

Why not head on over to Eclectic Ellapu and join in with out ANYTHING GOES challenge.

November over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit

After a couple months of not creating a thing I have managed to put a project together for Rhedd's Creative Spirit.

I altered a wooden block (ATB) and used the theme of TIME. I gessoed the block and stenciled numbers with modelling paste.  I added some wooden numbers from my stash and then painted it black. I used Inka Gold to bring out the raised surfaces and then added some cards spelling the word time on the 4 sides by Tim Holtz (found these lurking at the back of drawer and forgotten about them) I wiped black paint around them. I then added a wooden clock face and a stray hand and used Inka Gold on those also. A cotton reel to prop it up as you can see in one of the pics.

That's it for now just the pics to follow and sorry for the overload and love to you all and why not join in over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit.

September over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit

Hello all

For this month I have altered 2 boxes for a colleague who will be having her baby soon.  The larger one for papers, photos etc and the smaller one for baby teeth, hair etc.

I painted the boxes using chalk paint, used white antiquing cream, and decoupaged rice paper images onto them.  I have had the word memories for quite a while and they found the perfect resting place on top of box. Final step was to varnish

Now for the pics and why not head on over to Rhedd's Creative Spirit and join in with the challenge.

Thank you for dropping in and love to you all x

Rhedd's Creative Spirit - August Challenge

Flippin' heck - August already and time for a new challenge over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit.  Theme is Anything goes as long as it is mixed media/altered pieces.  For this month I have created a 'New Home' gift for a colleague.

It all started with a wine bottle, a small tonic bottle I found in my handbag after a party lol, a bolognese sauce jar and a plastic owl frame.

I gessoed it all then painted using a dark cream chalk paint, thencovered with crackle medium.  I used a light cream over the top. I let it crackle and then used brown media antiquing cream and wiped back for the weathered vintage look.

I then used calico, laces and rosette flowers for the finishing touches.  I do hope she loves it - actually tough if she doesn't lol.

Now for the pics
