AAA Birthday Challenge

 Hello everyone

I am so blessed to be a new DT member of  AAA Birthday cards challenge blog and with such talented ladies to be working alongside. 

Our Guest Designer for this month is Nance and what a stunning project - thank you Nance for joining us this month. Why not hop on over and see for yourselves 

It is that time of the month for a brand new challenge over at.......

Yes anything Birthday goes therefore I am sure this theme is well loved by all. I know I do!!!!

For my make for this month I thought I would attempt to make a male-ish type of card.

I do not have any stamps for the sky or waves. mental note to find some. So I tore some card and used distress oxide ink, Speckle egg and denim Adirondack ink to try give a little depth to 'so called' clouds and waves. Notice I said try lol. I am not that great at trying to scenes but will keep trying lol - I need to!!!!!

Now a while back I bought a large box of dies from eBay - lucky me someone was giving up craft.  The problem is they were not in their packages so I cannot identify their origin. If anyone recognizes them please leave a comment. would help me out so much.

I don't know the origin of the frames they could be by Gina Marie designs but am unsure.  I am also unsure of the sailboat and dolphins dies though thinking about it they maybe Charlie and Paulchen

Seagulls having fun...

 Today a seaside scene. I used a

wave stamp (unknown origin) over the lighthouse diecut (Gummiapan) and then on the base front card. I placed yellow card behind the lighthouse for the windows

The tiny seagulls and shell are also from Gummiapan

The large seagull is from a set by Charlie and Paulchen

Matted using navy card.

Beauty is the dragonfly....

 Today I delved into my joblot of dies I bought from ebay, I just love diving it grabbing one blindly and just go with it (no I have not gone threw them at all with much restraint, I love surprises!!!)Anyway it was the dragonfly's turn to be worked with - I love him.

Cream Linen card base and front panel

Square patterned die -one patterned and smaller plain one on the inside to make a frame - again do not know where it came from except from my hoard of stash obviously without packaging

Cut him out of the front panel and adhered some leftover alcohol vellum I made a while back. There wasn't much left so after cutting him out I threw the tiniest bit of scrap in the bin.

I cut him out twice - once to adhere to the background filling in the space from whence he came.

The second I stuck just the body to the bottom for his 3d wings.

Once I had finished with the body just plain card I felt there was something missing, So off I went scrabbling though the bin for a sliver of the background and yes I found the tiniest piece going lol. I cut just his body and stuck it onto his plain old body lol

The sentiment is an unknown stamp (well to me anyhow as always)

Happy Birthday Happy Birthday .....

 Hi again all you lovely crafters.  Good to see you again, hypothetically that is lol.

Today I have put together another Birthday card just for no reason except for pleasure and to add to the loads of cards I give to Charity.

 The list of supplies I used are here

White linen card

flowers Gummiapan - Swedish company - just love their dies.  I used water colour pens for the colours.

The hearts are by Impression Obsession. 

Pearl from stash - the over brimming stash just like most crafter's you know the one where you can't even remember having something and then order it again lol.

The bouquet wrap I cannot remember where it came from (yes I lose packets prob ended up in a bin

So here it is

Where in the world are you?

 I saw a challenge over at AAA Birthday cards and the theme is Where in the world are you? Well I sat here so long wondering what on earth I was going to do.  My style mainly is CAS and had no ideas at all lol

After a couple of hours it came to me CAS, Birthday and the hint to where I live!!!! Out came my book of 1st class stamps lol.

I embossed the MFT peek a boo frame stuck the stamp in the middle. How easy was that and can't understand why that idea took so long to emerge lol.  I had some small envelope dies so cut them and layered them up for dimension,

The important stamp is by Dylusions and the small happy birthday I cannot remember the origin.

I used red card behind the front panel and the adhered it to the card base using double sided foam tape

This card I have put together Love to Scrap

I have used cream linen card with a neutral color linen card

I die cut the heart placed in the center.

The flower die I believe is Alexander Renke.  I cut it twice, one in cream and the other in the neutral color.  I then paper pieced it together. I also used a couple of other flower dies for behind the main diecut,

 I used my small butterfly punch three times from Vaesson Creativ again in the neutral card.  The tiny dots I made using double sided tape on the back of card and run one of my dies which would produce waste when used normally. Very carefully and so patiently lifted them out and placed them on the bottom butterfly.  

The sentiment was composed on my computer and printed.  I took a photo of the card and used the app paint to pick the color font I wanted so it matched the card

I have made this card for Love to Craft (July) 69 Anything Goes

I used Sentimentally Yours background paper I received with a magazine.  I don't usually use patterned paper and tend to make my own backgrounds using oxide ink, alcohol ink, shaving foam technique etc etc

To add a little interest I laboriously stuck teeny tiny rhinestones on and trailing from the butterflies.  My eyes just cannot take it anymore lol.It is a shame it they are difficult to see in the picture

This card was made for Mix it Up challenge of Anything goes with optional twist of CAS

I made this for either a wedding/engagement - something different

The camera roll die I have no idea of its origin.  A while back I bought a huge joblot of dies from ebay, obviously not in original packs therefore no idea - sorry.

I layered it up twice and reinserted the cut outs after stamping with my gorgeous little bee stamp bought from Gummiapan (a Swedish company).  I trailed the little black dots into the middle insert creating a heart.  The dots are made by using black card die cut using a die which has lots of dots which would be waste.  I adhered double sided tape on the back and die cut the front.  This gives you self adhesive dots that are extremely fiddly to get out and use - much perseverance and patience is a must lol

This was then matted onto black card and the front adhered to card base using double sided foam tape

The stamped sentiment is by I think by Dylusions

I used the Noel die by Creative Expressions

I cut it using white and silver card for the word and matting. 

I think the Trailing Ivy die is also by Creations Expressions (threw the packaging away like I have most of my craft items) has also been cut from the silver card

A little note

 For today I concentrated in making a card for Addicted to CAS code word being GRID.

I used cream card

Grid stamp from Shabby Textures , Creative expressions

Main die I have no idea of origin∟ i cut the frame twice and layered over the middle panel - can't really see it as it gets lost in the pattern , Reasoning to layer the frame was so it could look like a shelf for the vase to sit on.

The vase and the flowers are all made by Gummiapan - a Swedish company
