Today I felt like trying glass painting - so I did just that.
I stamped dear old Elizabeth Bennett (Indigoblu) my fave stamp at the moment (bet you didn't notice 2 recent posts) onto the glass and painted her to the best of my ability. I then placed her onto canvas after paining it cream - I was going to leave it cream but it looked awful besides steampunky type theme does not do cream lol. I added a clock face, hands (onto the modelling paste clock face) corners onto the glass, 4 heart embellishment and numbers, for the year Jane Austen had finished writing Pride and Prejudice,
all from Fernli Designs. The sentiment I stamped on tissue paper and simply stuck them on using mod podge. I used Silks acrylic glaze on the clock face, banner and numbers
I finished it off by using my ever faithful adirondacks (spray) and inka gold.
That's it now for the pics.
Thank you for dropping by today and hope to see you again real soon

ReplyDeleteGreat projects, your butterflies are just fabulous. Thanks for joining us at Perfectly Rustics.
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this Elaine - especially that it has some fun color. The 'step back in time' is gorgeous around your girl and she is soooo lovely. Your background is perfect and then just the right amount of metal makes it all so romantic and mysterious. What IS her story? Love the date too. Your creativity just draws me in - I want to know more about what was happening to her in 1797. Should be a historical romance book cover! j.
