Quick Father's Day Card........D

Hi everyone...

Unusual for me to post mid week however I had to make a Father's Day card for my Dad.  This was a simple project for me.  My Dad likes his gardening so had to root about through my stamps.  I used Kraft card for the base and layered distressed cream card, burlap and Kraft card for the top layer.  I stamped the wording and little pics of frog, seed packet, pebbles and butterflies all heat embossed using a very fine gold embossing powder.  I used DI and lightly shaded the images.  I finished it off with a hairy twine (can't remember what it is called lol).  All items are from my stash.

That's about it really, such a simple project and write up!

Hugz to you all

Elaine xxx

  16. Elaine, you clever woman! I love this card. The texture of the background, the embossing, and the twine is awesome. I really like the contrast between the rough burlap and smooth paper on top. Great to throw in the gardening themed stamps for your dad. Thanks for joining our Father's Day/Masculine card challenge at Craft Your Passion. It's always a treat to visit you.
