Bird Crazy again *

For this card I used one of my fave stamp sets - Crazy Birds.  I know it appears to be nothing but cards recently but I am on a mission to get my card stash rebuilt and to be honest enjoying doing so.

For this one I used 3 of the birds, colored them using copics and fussy cut them.   I used DI for the background.  I stamped the images again directly onto the cardstock so to enable the poor birdies are reunited with their quiffs and legs.  They were not in too much pain so please please do not phone the RSPCA.  I cut out a hat shape (all by myself with out the use of electronic machinery lol) and colored using copics.  I thumbed an old dictionary for the word bold and cut and stuck to the hat and covered it using glossy accents. Damn the words are small lol.  I used glossy accents for their eyes.  I like to think of them being mini magnifying glasses lol Now for the pics.....

Thank you for popping in and hope to see you all real soon

Crazy Birds - Yayyyy! 1 in July - CHECK VINTAGE STAMPING

OMW it has taken me ages to get hold of this set of stamps.  They turned up yesterday and a few hours passed until I could bring myself to use them.  As you can see I did.  Took me gaes to achieve the effect I wanted.  How is it that something so simple can demand a lot of thought with the coloring/shading.

I decided to stick with copics, after trying Distress inks with water, pencils and artiste pens.  So I colored the birds, fussy cut them (cut of the little quiffs and legs off) and put them to one side while I used DI for the background - rather random.  I have to say the birdies were not happy being legless and quiffless.  I used a sentiment by Dylusions - love this saying.  I then stamped the images again, stuck the images over the top onto the card so my birdies could get their legs and quiffs back lol.  I used a black charcoal to give the biries a little grounding rather than looking as they up in the air lol.

That's it all done.  Now for the pics.....

Legless birdies

The birdies have been reunited with their legs and you would think they would look happier about it wouldn't you?

I do hope you liked being in my little crafty corner - I enjoy you visiting that's for sure.

Hugz and love always
