Nearly Christmas lol.....
There is a new challenge over at Anything but a Card for May and the theme is Inspired by the Masters. I love Da Vinci, Monet, Manet, Van Gogh - actually the list can go on. Seeing as I have Da Vinci stamps so for me it was a no brainer.
I had a 2012 Diary to alter into an Art Journal.
I coavered it initially with frayed natural calico, layered onto top with a piece of lined and finally hessian/burlap. I sprayed all of it using colour washes. The effect was too dark as I was quite heavy handed (as usual) so I wiped neat bleach over the top to tone it all down. I then stamped the images/words with stazon onto another piece of calico. I wiped it lightly with distress inks.
Voila all done!
