Jack and Ginger - Mo Manning

Good morning all (and goodness is it early or what LOL) Just woken up and thought I would post this before going to work.  

My father and stepmother have been married 25 years this week so I thought I best put a card together.  I have not wanted to make one due to my Mums death however forced myself last night.

I use Mo Mannings' Jack and Ginger - gorgeous old couple in live huh.  So sweet.  I am unsure as to where the backing papers are from as I have had them printed out for a while.  I will post on here when found.  The sentiment I made on word.  The flowers are from WOC and the corner die is Marianne Creatables.  I used glitter glue and the pearls and ribbon are from my stash.  I coloured the image using promarkers and prisma pencils.

Teen Fairy Pia - Mo Manning

I have had this image coloured up for a while and then the brainwave came to me.... MAKE A CARD for a change LOL.  So here it is...

The image is Teen Fairy Pia.  She was coloured using promarkers and prisma pencils.  The backing papers are from Dragon Lair Designs.  The corners are from Whimsey and the pearl gems and ribbon from my stash.  The flowers are from WOC. I made the sentiment on my computer.  The inside reflects the front of card.

Hummingbird - Kelly Rhodes, Inked Paws

I have put together another card using the talented Kelly Rhodes from over @ Inked Paws.  The image is Hummingbird and can be purchased on her site @ Facebook. (Inked Paws)

I used Prismacolor pencils for the image and added gems along with a feather on her costume.  I used a Whimsy die for the corners and added some stickles to shine them up.  The backing papers are from Raspberry Road.  

The flowers are from WOC and the ribbon, gems and tiny crystals from my stash.  The sentiment I created on my PC.  The miniature doilies I purchased from Tumdee and the crystal heart buttons are from the Stamp Basket. The inside reflects the front.

I really enjoyed making this card firstly because it for a very good friend who moved away (I did ask if it she did due to me LOL)and secondly I love the image.

Something nice has happened for a change.  I won a challenge over at Inked Paws and have a Guest Designer Spot...... I won using an Image from Redonkulous....

I have only just recently discover the artists for Inked Paws and Redonkulous, so it is true what they say .. A change is as good as a rest!

Barons Daughter - Kelly Rhodes Inked Paws

I was so excited to get this card done as I love the image.  I have only just found this talented artist and have treated myself to a few of them.

This one is called Barons Daughter and I coloured her mainly with prismas pencils and a little promarkers for her skin.  I used plenty of glamour dust on the roses in the image as well as the WOC flowers.  The corners are from Whimsy dies.The tiny doily from my stock and cannot for the life of me where it was from and I so want some more so if you know where I can get them please let me know LOL.  Not sure about the sentiment either LOL.  The inside sentiment comes from Card Making Downloads.  The ribbon is from my stash as are the pearl gems.  The bow I made on my bowmaker.  So handy and couldn't do without it LOL.  Oh yes I managed to sneek in a tiny feather too..... Oh and glittered butterflies .....

Thank you card - Card Making Downloads

This is a really simple card and different for me.  No coloured images here, just a sentiment, well an explanation on the words Thank you.  It is quite different and I quite like it.  What do you think?  SIMPLES...

Spring Fairy Aleta - Mo Manning

Good evening everyone

I have been out today for lunch with my Dad and stepmum... I actually felt really sad but was good to spend time with Dad.  All I kept thinking about was my Mum, gosh this is hard.  When I decided to make up another card I thought this angel could be for my Mum.I might even send it up to her by helium balloon when I scatter her ashes. 

Anyway onto the ingredients of this creation.  The image is Spring Fairy Aleta by Mo Manning and she was coloured using Promarkers.  I used lots of glamour dust on her as you can see. (Ihope!) The sentiment came from my stash and I cannot remember where I got it from so I apologise for that.  The corner die is by Memory Box and I have fallen in love with their collection.The pearl gems are from my stash.  The backing papers are by Michelle R Designs. In love with those also.  The roses are from WOC.  The inside compliments the front.  I have stamped the swirls and added lots of pearl gems.

Chantelle - MIC

I have managed to put another card together with an image I coloured a few weeks ago and was put away... almost forgotten LOL.  This is Chantelle from MIC and I coloured her up with promarkers and prisma pencils.  The black doily and gems are from my stash.  The corner die is from Whimsy and the flowers are from WOC and Mulberry Crafts.  The inside is quite plain so didn't worry about photographing it LOL.

Hi all 

This is a very short post as still have much to do with Mum's place.  I have manage to squeeze a couple of plain cards into my schedule though.  I will probably be using them for the people who helped me sort stuff out as a thanks.

There are no backing papers, blah blah blah etc etc ect to mention so is very simple.  The flowers were coloured using copics, promarkers and prisma pencils and the gems from my stash.The scroll pattern on one of the insides is a stamp from my stash.

Today

Today is the day I lay my mum to rest and to be honest I am really dreading it.  The last Mothers day card I made her will be travelling with her to the other side and I hope it will bring her much comfort. She hung on til we celebrated Mothers day and my sons 30th birthday the next day and she passed away the day after that. I went to see her in the Chapel of Rest yesterday.  On the one hand I am glad I did as it compounded to me it was just the vessel her spirit used whilst she was here and on the other hand it also compounded that she is no longer here so mixed emotions for me.  I will be reading a poem in her memory today and I thought I would share it with you all.

Tomorrow

When tomorrow starts without me

And I'm not there to see

If the sun should rise and find your eyes

All filled with tears for me

I wish so much you wouldn't cry

The way you did today

While thinking of the many things

We didn't get to say

I know how much you love me

As much as I love you

And each time you think of me

I know you'll miss me too

So when tomorrow starts without me

Don't think we're far apart

For everytime you think of me

I'm right here in your heart

I think this is so lovely and I really hope I can get through it without crying.  Anyway I need to go prepare myself for the farewell.
