Year of the Snake..D

Hey everyone,

It is that time again for another fab challenge over at Creative Card Crew.  The challenge set this time is to make a project following the theme of Red and Gold, year of the Snake, Asian or New Years and it will run for 3 weeks.  Yes an extra week to make your project....yayyy I chose to make a Shadow Book Card this time.  Just wanted to make something different.

I used a set of Chinese stamps I forgot I had (ooops lol!) and embossed with gold.  I matted and layed the card for dimension.  The image of the snake, who I have named Hissing Sid, was found on the net and cut out.  I used gems for his eyes and covered him in rock candy as I did the zodiac circle.

For the edging I gold embossed black card and used deckle scissors to give it a bit of an ummmpppphhhh!  The inside are more of the stamps at the back of Hissing Sid and was misted with red and gold. I used gold rub and buff all round the edges of the faux book pages and around the edges of practically everything.

Well I think that is about all I can say about it.....Get your oxygen tanks ready because here is the drowning of all the pics lol.....Now why don't you all head on over to Creative Card Crew and join in the fun.

Yes another tag!!!!!!

It is challenge time again over at Creative Card Crew and for this fortnight it is Anything goes and is being sponsored by Marianne Design. Here is the prize up for grabs for one lucky person.

Great prize huh!
I have made yet another tag and this time it is a haberdashery theme.  I quite enjoyed putting this together as I have had this TH stamp set for quite some time and it has not been out of the packet.  Naughty I know lol.

I used chipboard for the tag and I primed it then painted it in a buff colour.  I used rusty hinge and brushed corduroy TH distress ink.  I then flicked water over the tag and let it air dry.  I stamped the tape measure, stitching and the dress form for the background.  The wooden embellishments came from Crafty Emblies.  The scissor charm from my stash.  I cut the reels myself and wound cotton and fibre around them.  The buttons are from my stash as was the muslin which as you see I tried to make it look like a roll of fabric.  The words were computer generated.

Why not head on over to Creative Card Crew and join in the fun.

Hummingbird - Inked Paws

Hello everyone

It is that time again over at Creative Card Crew for a new challenge.  The theme this fortnight is Blue and Silver and we are being sponsored by Simon says Stamp who are offering a $20 Gift Certificate.

For this challenge I used one of my favourite images from Inked Paws, Hummingbird.  I coloured her up using my prisma pencils and used glossy accents on her eyeslips and rose.  I used blue coredinations paper and silver card as the layering and backing.  I cut the clock using Tim Holtz die again in the silver.  I then used 4 sets of hands for the corners.  I used Tim Holtz alphabet die for the sentiment.  She really does love that cute bird eh!  This has been mounted onto a white card and I will be using this for my friends birthday so this has served two purposes LOL.

Anyway that is it for me right now... need to head to bed.

Why not pop over to CCC for a chance to win that fab prize on offer.  You have to be innit to winnit!

Mimi Halloween - Stamp Fairy

Hi all

It is that time again for the start of a new challenge over at Creative Card Crew and the theme this time is FANCY FOLDS.  We are being sponsored by Stamp Fairy who has generously given the winner of this challenge a gift certificate for $10.

We were given images to work with for this challenge and I chose to work with MIMI Halloween.  She is cute right.  I deliberated for an absolute age as to what to do this time.  I decided to just place her on the background of flames.  She is actually surrounded by flames LOL.  I couloured her up using first my copics and then highlighting with my prisma pencils.  I used Tim Holtz Alphabet die for the sentiment.

Well that was short and sweet huh LOL!

Now for the pics!

Now that I have tempted you with first the fire and secondly the enthusiasm, why don't you just get on over to CCC and join in on the fun.  You have to be innit to winnit!

Take Flight

Hi all

It is that time again for a new challenge over at Creative Card Crew and the theme this week is 'TREE'.  We have 'Simon Says Stamp' as our sponsor and the prize is $20 Gift Voucher.  So you all need to head on over to CCC and join in this fun challenge.

I had to think really hard on this one until I remembered I had bought some tree stamps from over at Chocolate Baroque.  I decided to create the sky background using Tim Holtz ink, Chipped Sapphire, Tumbling Glass and Milled Lavender.  I stamped the various trees using brown Memento. I found the lone bird in flight out of an Indigoblu stamp sets.  The sentiments came from a steampunk set also from Chocolate Baroque

Well that is pretty much it as there not much else to say except....Get on over to Creative Card Crew and join in.  You have to be innit to winnit!

Bugaboo - Sassy Xmas Girl

First of all a little reminder that my DT SHOUT OUT is still running over at my new challenge blog - ECLECTIC ELLAPU.  It closes on the 31st August.  Why not have a look see!!!

Its challenge time over at Creative Card Crew and the theme is Christmas and we are being sponsored by Bugaboo.  The winners prize is 7 digis - fab prize so you need to get on over there and enter you Christmas cards.  You know you have to be init to winit!

Anyway for my DT inspiration I have coloured up Sassy Xmas Girl.    I decided to go with a red/white theme just to get into the festive spirit.  I coloured her up using my promarkers and smothered the entire image (apart from her flesh that is) with glamour dusts.  The ribbon came from my stash as did the sentiment stamp.    This is a really simple card and really enjoyed making it.

Anyway here are the pics and don't forget to get on over to CCC and join in the fun.

Free Vintage Digital Stamps - Cupid Symphony

Just a quick reminder that I am looking for DT's for my new challenge blog over @ Eclectic Ellapu.
This is a new venture and I hope you will support me on the journey.  If you are interested in joining just pop over and have a look around.

Now onto business....

Its challenge time over @ Creative Card Crew this week and the theme is Newsprint, Map or Sheet Music background so I chose Music.  We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp with a $20 gift voucher so best you head on over and join in the fun.

I used a really cute vintage digi image from Free Vintage Digital Stamps - Cupid Symphony.

I just love that site so full of gorgeous vintage images.  Did I tell you I like vintage or have you guessed already LOL.  Anyway there wasn't too much colouring needed as there alot of shading on this so it wasn't that hard to do.  I did however use my crackle stamp over the top with clear embossing powder. I used a metal corner which I embossed using Tim Holtz crackle powder and then rubbed over with gold leaf.  The ribbon I used for the bow I cut down the sides and frayed it up to make it look old.  I had used all my vintage ribbon stash up so had to improvise LOL.  I used a leaf vine trim in brown and light pink to drape round the image from my hand made flower.  The flower and the pink vine trim along with the muslin (just showing) beneath the image and flower had the mahogany distress ink treatment. That is why you cannot see pink vine as it is now mahogany LOL. The backing paper and the image had a smidging of it also.  Did I mention I love distress ink LOL!!!

Anyway that is enough of my babbling and without further adieu here are the pics you may have been waiting for..............

Anyway why don't you all head over to Creative Card Crew for our current challenge and have fun creating to be in with a chance of winning the wonderful prize from Simon Says Stamp

Thats it from me right now.

Kenny K - Alice Chains

Hey everyone

The card I have for you today is Kenny K's Alice Chains.  I have made this as inspiration for Creative Card Crew as an unofficial DT.  My actual term of DT does not start officially until the next challenge but thought I would do this for fun.  The challenge over there this week is Use Black cardstock and is sponsored by Kenny K.

I have coloured her using copics and pencils.  I added milled lavender distress ink round the image as a smokey haze effect. I added mini crystals for her bodice and necklaces and used glossy accents for her eyes and lips.  In her hand she is conveniently holding a padlock and key charm which I found in my stash.  Quite appropriate I thought.  I tied a bow using lace and wrapped chain around the centre. I used Tim Holtz alphabet die for the words come play with me arranged either side of the 2 chains twisted together annd fastened with brads.

Well thats if for me for now...
