Happy Birthday

Today I was going to make some cards for some of my DT obligations for 2023 but decided to make this one for the fun of it.  I die cut a circle for the flower head and diecut a couple of tiny leaves.  I coloured them by dabbing them into distress oxide inks and left to dry.  I then embossed with a crackle stamp using versamark and sticky embossing powder, heat then used gilding flakes randomly.

I drew the stem using brown pen. I round the circle and leaves using an embossing tool on a rubber mat.  I cut into the circle in the attempt to make it look like single petal - not so sure why as can't really distinguish the difference lol

I used double sided foam tape under the leaves and in the middle of the sentiment to lift the centre for a curved shape. This was to cover a crooked attempt of stamping directly on the card TWICE lol.

I die cut a circle on the front panel and used double sided foam tape to adhere it.

  2. The embossed and gilded flower looks so beautiful. I did think that it was a clay flower at first glance. I love the simple CAS background which makes it the focal point. Gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing your project with us at the Crafts Galore Encore “Anything Goes” December Challenge. Good Luck and hope to see you again soon!
