Here is mytep by Step Tutorial for Lavinia Stamps as December’s Guest Designer. The theme this month is ‘’The Magic of Christmas’’

I have called ‘’Bauble Watching’’

Here is the card I have made

Fairy Fir Tree 2 LAV477

Fairy Path LAV246

Bayleaf Cottage LAV685

Foliage set LAV679

Large Reindeer LAV481

Magnus LAV638

8x8inch card

Versafine Clair Nocturne

Versafine Clair Pinecone

Elements ink pads Sahara, Della Blue, Graphite and Truffle

Lavinia Stencils brushes size 3, 7 and 9

Signo Gel pens green, silver and red

Kuretake clean color pens  Mustard 067 and Flesh Colour 071

Black fineliner

Grey/Red/yellow pastel pencil

Titanium white Panpastel

Quickie glue pen

Starbrights Holographic glitter

Glossy accents

Circle mask

Torn paper for the hills/shadows

Frisk Artist Masking liquid

1 - 1 Using 8x8inch Multifarious card inked up the Bayleaf Cottage stamp LAV685 in Versafine Clair Nocturne and stamp just below the centre. Add the Fairy Path LAV246 stamp so that it leads up to the cottage, stamping in Versafine Clair Nocturne.

2 - Next using Versafine Clair Nocturne stamp the animals, Woodland Mice LAV402 and Woodland Hares LAV409 in the front at the bottom of the card, as you can see in the picture. Then stamp a fairy forager at the top of the roof.

3 – Now stamp the trees, Fairy Fir Tree LAV478, Small Fairy Fir Tree LAV489, Small Pine Trees LAV836 and Fairy Fir Tree 2 LAV477,  in Versafine Clair Nocturne .

These trees go around the cottage, with the larger ones at the front and the smaller stamps further away at the top of the card. You will stamp these in first and second generation stamping to achieve a sense of distance.

2. I decided to stamp the baubles onto the roof, the bottom parts of the Christmas charms set
2.jpg

3. I tore some copy paper and created the hills using No 3 Lavinia blending brush with Graphite Elements
3.jpg

4. Using circle mask, No 7 Lavinia blending blush and Della Blue Elements ink created the moon and sky
4.jpg

5. Using No 3 stencil brushed with Elements Truffle, Graphite and Sahara coloured Bayleaf cottage
5.jpg
6. Coloured the baubles using Green and red Signo gel pens.  Used red and orange pastels for the lamp light.  I used torn copy paper and Graphite Elements to create texture in the snow
6.jpg

7. I used The Kuretake Clean Color watercolour pens for the rope round the roof.
Used Quickie glue pen and Glitter Starbrights Holographic glitter over the baubles.
Stamped Foliage behind the stones and along the path using Vesrafine Clair Pinecone.
Covered the trees furthest away using  Titanium white Pan Pastel, 9.jpg

8. Used glossy accents over the baubles
10.jpg

9. At this point I decided the scene needed. I used Frisk Artists blue mask over the trees where I wanted to do some more stamping
11.jpg

10. Once dry I stamped Magnus and Large Reindeer using Versafine Clair Nocturne
over the masking fluid to give the impression of them being between the trees
12.jpg

11. I used grey pastel to give more shading to the path and highlighted the gathered friends.
13.jpg
12. I added more shading on the roof, mounted the card front to a black background and placed onto the 8x8 inch card base
